  • "We really appreciated the high standard of fittings, comfort, cleanliness and attention to detail."

The central location, close to all that Dartmouth has to offer - shops, restaurants, river trips - as well as fantastic river views make this a top spot.

  • "Delightful location & view."

Property very well equipped, and all of a good standard. Some more information of facilities such as Waste disposal unit (couldn't find how to operate this - couldn't get rid of small items we had rinsed into it), bathroom floor heating, bathroom mirror light (found how to operate on last day, by trial & error. People may want to be informed there is a bottle bank for re-cycling located in the main car park. Finally, when arriving at the property, the directions say that "The apartment is located above Rockfish restaurant on the right hand side." Actually, the entrance door is on the left hand side (facing) and has a number 8 above the door. This would be helpful to know, as it is difficult to park outside and being able to quickly identify where the entrance is would be beneficial.

The views are excellent and it’s only a few minutes walk to several pubs and restaurants .

  • "Really enjoyed our Xmas week stay."

Stunning views over the Dart, and a treat to see the ‘train of lights’. The apartment is very well equipped, warm and comfortable, however the biscuit coloured carpets are in need of a good clean. Would definitely recommend this holiday apartment.

The property is in a fabulous location with beautiful views and close to everything you need. The property is the best equipped apartment with everything you need and more. I would highly recommend 2 Embankment. This is our second visit and we are in the process of booking again for next year. It's so relaxing and peaceful. Enjoy!

  • "Lovely apartment, had everything we needed, fabulous location only negatives, balcony wasn’t cleaned and 7 baby seagulls were nested outside our bedroom window so we had to sleep on the settee owing to the noise constant noise."

  • "The apartment was simply stunning."

It is incredibly well furnished and the kitchen is stocked with all the items you need and more. There was only 2 of us staying but the apartment could easily cater for 6 if there were more beds! The bed was really comfy and the bedding was of high quality. The location is amazing, we often got take out and sat on the balcony to eat rather than in the restaurants on the street below as the view from the apartment was better than if you were sat in them. We also never heard noise from the apartment or restaurant below which was something we were concerned about before we arrived. The parking permit was also extremely useful and could be used in some other car parks nearby to Dartmouth which was great. The only very minor comment I would make is that when we arrived the hot water had been turned off so the shower was cold. Once we’d figured out this was it we didn’t have any more problems but I’d suggest that the hot water is left on for future guests. Overall, a great stay and we’d love to come back again in the future!

  • "The doors onto the balcony need repairing, (Bottoms are rotting) Otherwise really nice accommodation, My second visit in 9 months."

Now booked up because of staycation.

  • "The apartment was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped."

The shower now has a long curtain so there was no problem with a wet floor. The views from the balcony were lovely, the location was perfect, and we were able to park in the road outside as it is de-restricted from October. I would recommend this without reservation.

  • "Got very wet and mucky getting to the bin store."

Sofa not as comfortable as it looks but otherwise a very well appointed flat. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

  • "We thought the balcony was exceptionally lovely and in general the apartment inside was at least as good as described."

The kitchen was really well kitted out and everything needed was provided. The sitting room and dining area had stunning views. We loved being in the middle of the town and only took the car out once or twice in week. The walks from Dartmouth and Kingswear were wonderful. However we would comment on the shower which isn't really fit for purpose. Two issues: one already commented on by others is the lack of a shower cubicle/ door. The water runs all over the bathroom floor even with care using curtain. In addition it is fine having a large shower head above but no alternative lower shower head so hair wash necessary with every shower.

  • "The location of this apartment was fantastic, amazing views with great facilities."

We would often pop back in the day so convenient to do that.

  • "The property is generally well equipped however there are a few issues that could easily be rectified."

The flat could do with a fan in each bedroom during the summer and there were no tongs in the kitchen. The bathroom is built to a luxury standard but it has a poorly fitted shower curtain that causes water to leak all over the bathroom floor. Apart from these issues, we had a lovely stay and the flat was in a great location with lovely views of the river. The parking permit was very useful not only in Dartmouth but also when we visited Slapton beach. Close to the co-op, takeaways, pubs and restaurants.

  • "The view from the flat was fantastic - every bit as good as it looks in the photos."

And the location was perfect - right in the centre of Dartmuth, just a short walk to catch ferries that go to various destinations up the estuary and around the coast, and within walking distance of some superb beaches.

  • "Already advised about the bin store."

It was unuseable as so dirty so we used bins across the road and took some rubbish home with us. The balcony was not clean when we arrived so cleaned it ourselves. Appreciate very difficult with the seagulls around! Top location and top flat. Very comfy beds.

About the location

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
