"We had a wonderful stay in Wisteria Cottage."
It was in a beautiful setting and a great location. The cottage was lovely and had everything we could possibly need with a modern, well equipped kitchen and our own patio area. The owners had left generous, thoughtful welcome packages. Check in straightforward and easy with information provided well in advance. Would highly recommend.

"Have stayed here before years ago, and a few things have changed."
From the outside, the property needs some maintenance to door and windows. Also the bench on the patio area needs replacing as it is getting very unstable to sit on. Inside the kitchen area was very nice and modernised, and the rooms were very nice and clean. There were plenty of towels for us, and beds were clean. Again there are areas where some maintenance needs doing round front door and in the bathroom. The fridge freezer box was over frosting, and the fridge was only just keeping things cool. As a base for our holiday, it was very nice and all three of us enjoyed our stay in the property.

"Lovely little cottage with lovely grounds."
Not far from some or favourite beaches. I like the simplicity of the cottage. The oven is great.

"Stayed in the cottage August 24 for 2 nights, the cottage location is around 1."
3 miles from Musbury village, whichever way you get to the cottage is via long single track roads, however these are quiet roads. The cottage was clean and tidy, basic facilities as described but it does have WiFi which pleased the children, this should be advertised which would help sales I feel especially for families and the fact the phone signal is not the best. Overall a nice little cottage which I would use again. Lastly a nice touch was the treats bag with tea and biscuits, small milk in fridge. Thank you very much.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Wisteria Cottage. Phone and Wi-Fi signals can be problematic due to the rural location. But we were pleased that during your stay, however you could access Wi-Fi as we had recently installed a new satellite based system - its good to hear that it worked and your children were happy ! We have amended the listing to reflect this. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

"We had a lovely stay."
The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a beautiful countryside position. Just two little gripes: there was a double and two twin beds, so we expected crockery etc for at least 4 people - in reality there were only 2 dishes and 3 forks, and a shortage of cutlery in general. The other issue is the WiFi. To be fair, the Sykes holiday site said there was none, but as one of the reviews mentioned that there was working WiFi, I checked through Sykes online chat before I booked and was told there was WiFi. In reality there was none, which made things a little difficult. I think these issues could easily be rectified and I certainly wouldn't want to put anyone off going there, overall it was lovely.

"We had a lovely relaxing break at Wisteria cottage."
The welcome pack was a lovely and unexpected bonus. Super tea and coffee. The location was truly beautiful. We had wonderful walks and visited some super locations around the area, Beer for one, was so pretty. I would say the kitchen was very good, new and pretty much everything needed was there maybe a bit short on crockery if there were 4 people. The settee was definitely not very comfy and rather small, TV is tiny. A reasonable size one on the wall would be good and an electric wood look fire would give a cosy and homely feel. Bathroom was good plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Bed was rather small for us so not as comfy as we would have liked. We are used to a 5’ bed as it’s a bit longer too. A few coat hooks downstairs by the door would be good. The weather was not good at all for our first few days so we did spend a bit longer in the house than we planned. The info on booking states no Wi-Fi we were pleased to find that there was and it worked well for us.
Thank you for your comments. The owner is undertaking a programme of upgrades to the cottage, and is planning to replace the beds in the near future. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your holiday exploring the local area. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"We loved our stay at Wisteria cottage."
It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen had been refurbished beautifully with all the facilities required on a self catering holiday. There are areas that could do with a little modernisation but that’s not a criticism as I think the cottage is charming. We really appreciated the milk in the fridge and the bag of goodies on arrival. We’d love to come and stay again next year so we hope it stays affordable for us. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Kitchen knives blunt, settee uncomfortable, dustpan and brush would be useful, no advice as to where the dustbins were located to empty kitchen bins, vacuum cleaner a bit smelly
Thank you for your feedback which we have passed onto the owner. We hope you enjoyed your stay and were able to appreciate the beautifiul grounds accessible to guests. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Beautiful cottage, garden and surroundings, lovely kitchen with plenty of equipment."
Heating and hot water worked very well, as did the shower. A few small points. The sofa and chairs were not the most comfortable. The double bed was too small for us, although this was not their fault, we’re just used to a bigger bed. The tv was very small and the reception was not great. This did not stop us having a lovely time, we would definitely come again.
