"Good communication beforehand meant check-in was seamless."
it was a beautiful lodge, in great condition and furnished really well. it was very clean and tidy with everything you need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable, lovely lounge area and all equipment worked as it should. The site is very quiet and the hedges around the lodge make it nice and private, especially the decking area. The only addition we could suggest is an air fryer, but obviously not essential. We would have checked out an hour later, but felt the £20 pricey for just one hour. We had a great 5 nights here and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break.

We've stayed in several on this site and really liked the layout of this one. I have left a comment about the bed in the main room...we think it may need replacing. Overall everything we needed for a comfortable stay for 6 adults. Great hot tub!

"We had an amazing week at Southern Halt."
The Lodge was beautiful and had almost everything you would need for a week away (the only thing missing was a pair of kitchen scissors). Despite the weather we spent evey evening in the incredibly large hot tub and found lots to do locally. We would definitely come back again.

"Clean, well maintained and very private."
For two of us it was fine but I would not bring the family as the space is too tight. Two six foot lads in the twin bedded room is simply not workable. The kitchen was not equipped to cook for six people either. I am basing this comment on previous experience as we rent cottages in Cornwall at least twice a year. It felt very 'corporate'. There was good communication but lack of wi fi which we asked about was a problem for my husband. There are more spacious, better equipped and welcoming lodges in Cornwall although,I stress, this was still a good experience for two and we enjoyed our week. The site is attractive and well positioned for seeing North Cornwall.

I am sorry you found the lodge corporate in its styling- as a three bedroom luxury lodge it has one super-king with integrated double wardrobe, dressing table, large TV and ensuite walk in shower and WC, and one king -size bedroom with integrated storage, dressing table and large TV - and one twin room with TV and integrated double wardrobe We are always happy to help with additional kitchen equipment where we can, and strive to provide enough facilities for each guest. Reception and housekeeping are aways happy to help . For the two of you, I am so glad that this was more than sufficient and that you really enjoyed your week. "It was amazingly clean."
We didn't get there until it was dark so it was nice of them to put the lights and heating on. They were very helpful and it was nice that they emailed me just to see if we settled in all okay and if we needed anything. This is my 3rd time down here now and I love it we will be booking to come back next year.

"Well, what can we say."
We had a lovely stay at this lodge. Extremely clean and comfortable. The Lodge was well equipped. Side plates were exceptionally small, more like a cake plate. Make sure you take your own plastic glasses to use, when in the spa. We had a couple of small issue, that were dealt with straight away after a lady (can’t remember her name) called to check how things were going, she was awesome and couldn’t have been more helpful. Also a big thank you to Anita from housekeeping! We were expecting to have a TV in the super king room but sadly there wasn’t one. None of this spoilt our holiday. We would happily recommend this beautiful lodge and hope to return again sometime in the not too distant future.

We had a fantastic weekend in this lodge. We had gone away to relax and distress and we have definitely done that. It was extremely comfortable and full of everything that we could possibly have needed. Every room was clean and well presented and the beds were really comfortable which is always a bonus. Set in well maintained grounds, the lodge feels very private and the hot tub was the cherry on top at the end of the day. We highly recommend this lodge to anybody looking for a bit of peace and tranquility in their lives.

"We’ve travelled around the uk at least 1 week a year for the last 20 years and this luxury lodge is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in , it’s spacious with large bedrooms each with wardrobe space , a kitchen with everything you need for self catering , large tv , Wi-Fi that actually works , it’s clear that no expense was spares on the fixtures and fittings and decor or the lodge , you really have thought of everything , milk in the fridge , the kitchen pack with dishwasher tablets a sponge washing up liquid etc, the welcome pack with local restaurants and emergency telephone numbers for doctors and hospitals , and a daily hot tub check by your staff , impeccably clean throughout , and all within a peaceful country setting ."

"Fabulous new lodge centrally positioned in Southern Halt."
Can park within a few feet of the entrance door. The lodge is very comfortable and loved the modern look and feel. On a warm day it was great to open both the bi-fold doors onto the large deck. The hot tub is superb. The site is so close to explore the Cornish coast, Bodmin Moor etc Great customer service from Sykes and Tracey the on-site guest services administrator.

We would recommend this lodge to everyone. It is a beautiful Lodge with everything you could want on holiday. It is spotless clean and beautifully furnished.The beds are so comfortable. The hot tub is perfect and cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. The lodge is close to lots of lovely places and in easy traveling distance too. We would love to revisit the lodge at some point.

Designed for those who value space, privacy and a slower pace of living, it offers a generous and well-appointed base for everything from restorative breaks to memory-making stays with family and friends.
Arriving at the lodge, there is an immediate sense of calm, the setting is natural and unhurried, with tall trees, windswept wildflowers and the soft sound of a nearby stream creating a sense of place that is hard to leave behind.
The lodge sits unoverlooked within its surroundings, giving the whole stay a feeling of genuine privacy.

Looe, Polperro and Fowey reward leisurely exploration along the south coast, while Bodmin Moor, Cardinham Woods and the lakeside paths at Siblyback offer a different pace inland.
Cornwall's north coast, Padstow, Port Isaac, Newquay and Polzeath, is easily reached via a short drive, as is Plymouth for a city day out.

The rural village of Dobwalls is surrounded by open fields and wooded countryside, and is close to the market town of Liskeard, the slopes of Bodmin Moor and the glorious north and south Cornish coastlines. This is a perfect base for exploring the many delights the region has to offer, with the picturesque fishing harbours of Looe, Fowey and Polperro within 15 miles to the south whilst Padstow and the surfing beach at Polzeath lie a comfortable drive away on the North Coast. Take a trip to Siblyback Lake and enjoy the wonderful sailing, fishing and watersports on offer, or travel a little further and take advantage of the superb walking on Bodmin Moor. The Eden project lies within 15 miles and Plymouth is just a 30 minute drive, or 25 minute train ride from nearby Liskeard station. With the Barbican harbour district, renowned aquarium, and good selection of shops, restaurants and theatres, this is a great holiday base.
