    The accommodation was quiet with a stunning sea view and bird activity on your doorstep and an owl too . Very close to the beach in fact just down the street only a few yards away . Parking was no trouble that came with the accommodation

  • "We had a comfortable stay in the flat."

    It was very well equipped so we could fill the dishwasher before starting it, so many places we have stayed in only supply the bare minimum. It's just a short walk down the hill to the beach and the sea view is good. Easy parking space and quiet neighbours, not overlooked.

    We enjoyed our stay; the apartment had everything we could have needed. Only downside is there is no local shop anymore. However, beach is lovely and quiet and we enjoyed spending time there, and at Seaton, as well as visiting other local attractions.

    We loved the position and ease of parking close outside. The apartment was very well equipped with plenty of space, hot water bath and showers. We enjoyed a peaceful few days with lovely coastal path walks, good for our fitness as quite steep in places. The bus service was reliable to bring us back after a long walk although a pity the strong winds prevented us from using the water taxi back to Looe from Polperro. The welcome cream tea and milk on arrival at Pebbles was super. Thank you, we are looking forward to our next stay at Pebbles.

    The property was well-equipped and comfortable. The view overlooking the sea was amazing and although we were in close proximity to other properties, it didn’t feel like it. We liked that the property was within walking distance of some tasty places to eat. The layout of the apartment was good and the space was luxurious!

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Pebbles."

    It was so brilliantly clean and tidy. We loved the welcome treats. It was very thoughtful to have essential items included on arrival and we really appreciated it. The decor has changed in the lounge and bedrooms and it is even better than the photos! The sea view is also better than the photo and the sound of the sea is very relaxing. It’s a very short walk to the beach which is wonderful. The car parking is very easy and convenient. The kitchen was well equipped and lovely. The main bathroom has a lovely warm shower with great water pressure so we used that instead of the en-suite. The only thing we struggled with was the mattress and found it to be a bit too firm. After a couple of days we also noticed a damp/mould smell coming from under the bed/mattress. Overall we loved our holiday at Pebbles and would love to return.

  • "On the whole we had a lovely holiday at Pebbles and thank you for the milk and cream tea on arrival, that was very much appreciated."

    The apartment is well thought out and nicely furnished. The only negatives we found were the sofas were not very comfortable, the 3 seater particularly was bad as it was sunken at one end. The water pressure seemed low in bathrooms, especially with the shower in the ensuite, not sure if this is because of the type of shower installed. The mattress on the main bed was extremely firm for my liking, I know this is often a personal choice thing so its just one of those things. These were all minor niggles and would not put us off visiting again. Overall we thought the property was lovely, especially with having a garden and wonderful views of the sea !! We had a great holiday and look forward to returning to Cornwall soon !

    We have a child with a nut allergy so cooked a lot in the apartment and we had everything and more that we needed. The owners were very helpful from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this lovely apartment

  • "Much nicer than anticipated!"

    Lovely and warm and dry even in the pouring rain (some places can feel so damp with Cornish rain!). It was really comfortable and clean with great views and such an easy walk to the beach. Mattresses and pillows were super comfy (always an issue for me) and so good to have a king bed! The kitchen was so well equipped, thank you! I actually ordered some ready meals as I wasn't sure it would be, so will know for next time. As our son lives in Downderry, I'm sure we will be back - we loved it!

  • "Pebbles was an ideal location and equipped with more than everything we needed."

    The apartment was spotless, the welcome pack delicious and the comfort level was off the scale. Everything was of a high quality and useful for our stay, we didn’t want for anything. Location-wise Downderry was ideal, close to facilities but also peaceful and relaxing. The beaches were great and made for good swimming, paddle boarding etc. will definitely come back!

The property

Make unforgettable memories at Pebbles, an inviting and contemporary ground-floor apartment situated in the peaceful village of Downderry, Cornwall.

Located just a short stroll from the beach, it’s in the perfect location for couples, friends or a family of four to enjoy the South East Cornish coast.

Enter the apartment and head into the open-plan living space and immediately you will be drawn to the wonderful sea views.

Natural light floods through the patio doors which lead to the private patio and small, south facing enclosed garden.

The kitchen with its sleek appliances and glossy units boasts everything you could possibly need, providing the perfect environment to prepare and cook meals.

Serve up the fruits of your labour at the dining table or eat alfresco on the patio.

The property has two well-appointed bedrooms, both with TVs with the master bedroom boasting a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom.

The second bedroom consists of a twin room and is served by an impressive wet room making it easy to prepare for each day of the holiday in comfort.

Come morning, when you are ready to explore, take the short walk to enjoy the local amenities in the village such as a convenience store, pub, café, and restaurant.

Downderry has a sheltered beach with rockpools and during low tide you can follow the coastal path to Seaton where you will be met by the natural glory of the Seaton Valley Countryside Park, home to wildlife such as otters and kingfishers.

Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath to charming fishing ports and villages.

Looe is within easy reach with a lovely beach ideal for crabbing and fishing trips or don your walking boots for a hike through Kilminorth Woods.

Scenic Polperro is an enchanting village where the harbour is edged with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages.

The wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path will take you to rocky coves and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers.

Further afield is the famous Eden Project, Plymouth, the Tamar Valley and other iconic coastal towns including Fowy, Polruan and Padstow where you can visit the National Lobster Hatchery ahead of walking the harbour and sampling locally caught produce.

For golfers, Portwrinkle, St Mellion International Golf Resort and Looe Bindown are all within easy driving distance.

Downderry is a small quiet coastal village situated in south east Cornwall. Downderry has a sheltered beach, Post Office and shop, deli, and a cliff top pub and an excellent restaurant, serving quality local food. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach from Downderry to Seaton, where you will find a family friendly south facing beach and the nearby Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature reserve is home to wildlife, including otters and kingfishers and also offers great cycling and walking opportunities. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away, and the wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path in this part of Cornwall take you to rocky coves, dramatic headlands and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers. Further afield is Plymouth, where you will find plenty to see and do, including a marine aquarium, a theatre, large shopping centres and the historic Barbican waterside area.
