The property

Hog End is a charming barn conversion set deep in the rolling landscapes of the Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Devon.

Sleeping up to four guests, it’s an inviting retreat for couples, families or friends seeking a quiet break surrounded by open countryside and fresh air.

Inside, the barn combines rustic character with quality finishes, offering a spacious open-plan living area perfect for cooking, dining and relaxing together.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need for easy self-catering, while the comfortable lounge invites you to unwind after a day of exploring.

Both bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite bathrooms, one a king-size with a Juliet balcony overlooking sweeping fields, the other a flexible zip-and-link room that can be set up as a king or twin.

A downstairs cloakroom and a few thoughtful extras, like a travel cot, highchair, and hairdryer, add to the sense of ease.

Step outside to discover your own private courtyard garden, complete with outdoor seating and a barbecue for summer evenings between April and October.

Beyond, a six-person hot tub offers the ultimate spot to soak and take in the serene rural views stretching towards the woodland.

There’s also private parking right at the front of the property.

The nearby village of Dunkeswell provides everyday essentials, along with a friendly pub, Indian restaurant and traditional fish and chip shop.

Thrill-seekers can visit Dunkeswell Airfield for tandem skydives, while the nearby market town of Honiton tempts with antique shops, independent cafés and weekly markets.

The Jurassic Coast is easily reached by car for a day of beach walks and fossil hunting, while family attractions such as Yarak Birds of Prey, Diggerland and The Bear Trail promise great days out for all ages.

With its peaceful setting, countryside views and welcoming atmosphere, Hog End offers the perfect base for slowing down and reconnecting with the simple pleasures of rural Devon.
