• "Nestled in the South Devon countryside is The Old Coach House at Little Dunley Cottages."

  A short drive away is Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot. The area is peaceful and tranquil; a break from the hustle and bustle of life. The accommodation was extremely spacious and well equipped. The property was clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and attentive and the neighbours friendly. We found our week stay very comfortable and a pleasure to return to each evening. This is definitely a property we would return to and recommend. For an enjoyable day out on a sunny day we suggest the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company Round Robin trip. The trips to Totnes and Dartmouth made our holiday. Local places to eat are Claycutters Arms and Ten Tors Inn.

• "Garden could do with a bit of work."

  Rail on steps outside would be sensable also review last step on flight of stairs higher than other steps almost fell a few times not sure if would meet building regs. Cushions for sitting outdoor limited and one looked like a mouse had eaten through it. Understandable in the countryside. Being an old farm building seemed to attract flys especially in extension area near ground floor bedroom. Excellent mattress will be buying an ikea mattress based on our stay. Pillows could do with covers condition of some pillows looked poor when stripping bed. Throws on sofa loverly touch as well as general decor. Overall had a great stay/Holiday my friends are already talking about doing it again.

It's also wonderful to know you found the mattress so comfortable, enjoyed the décor, and appreciated the throws on the sofa – it's always lovely to hear when these little touches make a difference. We have taken on board your comments regarding the garden. The prolonged dry weather and lack of rainfall have unfortunately taken their toll on the grass this summer. We already have plans to carry out work to the garden during the winter months, and we hope it will be looking its best for future guests. Thank you also for highlighting your concerns about the steps and handrail. We have inspected the staircase following your comments and have not identified any issues with the step heights. We can also confirm that the property complies with the relevant current building regulations. That said, we do appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention, and we will continue to monitor this area as part of our ongoing maintenance programme. We will also give consideration to whether an additional handrail would be a practical improvement for guests. We're sorry to hear about the damage to one of the outdoor cushions. As you say, being in the countryside does occasionally mean wildlife takes an interest in outdoor furnishings. Had we been made aware of this during your stay, we would have been more than happy to replace the damaged cushion straight away. Living in a converted farm building in a rural location does mean that flies and other insects can occasionally find their way inside, particularly during periods of warm weather when windows and doors are open. While we do our best to minimise this, it is unfortunately one of the realities of enjoying the countryside. Thank you also for your comments regarding the pillows. We regularly inspect and replace bedding where necessary, and we'll ensure these are checked again before our next guests arrive. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. • "Home from home."

  Extremely comfortable and kitchen did not want for any pan or utensil. A coffee in the garden in the morning listening to and watching the birds sets you up for a day exploring the area. So dog friendly, my little boys lived their best life. Silly comment but a washing line would have been useful. No problem though as next day delivery shopping sorted that. Had a couple of takeaway deliveries. That was an adventure as they struggled to find us but always sorted. Had a casual 'check in' first morning as I sat in the back garden on first morning. Extremely friendly, caring and genuinely ensuring we were happy and needed nothing. He even got down to my dogs level to welcome him as well. I highly recommend The Old Coach House.

• "Family of 6 adults and 2 dogs."

  Lovely house and garden, private parking and nice quiet area. Garden is enclosed and we enjoyed playing croquet every day! Beds very comfortable. Nice bottle of wine on arrival with some dog biscuits for our furry friends which was a nice touch. A short drive into Bovey Tracey for supplies with lots of pub options for food as well. Would be good if the house could also use the onsite facilities though - would have been lovely to have a dip in the pool or used the games room while we were there as well. We didn’t use the dog area as they were happy enough running around the large garden in the evenings. Couldn’t find any cleaning equipment or supplies and the heating came on randomly in the middle of the night upstairs so was hot! Apart from that it was a lovely weekend stay and the house is gorgeous.

• "Absolutely lovely place to stay!"

  We loved it so much have already booked for Christmas! Felt homely, and perfect that dogs could stay too! Fabulous garden, which would be great in the summer months! And a great enclosure nearby to walk the dogs!
