A little sanctuary and so, so peaceful. The cottage was very clean and the owner always nearby if we needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. Only feedback and certainly not a criticism but I took my parents as a gift and my Dad is a little disabled in that his legs don’t work very well. Stairs were not an issue as he’s ok if he has something to hold on to so no problem there. It was just the seating in the living room as very low so he had trouble getting out of it. As I said, certainly not a criticism but something you don’t know until you are there. Beautifully designed house. Very minimalistic which we loved. In the middle of acres of farm which you have the freedom to walk around. There are chickens (we loved the fresh eggs!!!), sheep, cows and a bull. The stars at night are fabulous. I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage.

Honiton is a delightful market town in East Devon, with plenty to offer visitors. It lies in the valley of the River Otter and is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and plenty of scattered farming villages. Honiton has an attractive High Street stretching almost 2 miles, and lined with individually owned shops, pubs and restaurants. Honiton has been famous for lacemaking since the reign of Elizabeth I and still has a few lacemakers in work today - visitors can see some fine examples of antique lace in the town’s Allhallows Museum. Honiton boasts the only public art gallery in East Devon; the Thelma Hulbert Gallery occupies an attractive Grade I listed Victorian house, and has links with the Hayward Gallery, London.
