Very relaxing and easy access to a local attractions. Everything there that we needed and we will return!

The advertised walk to a local pub was not possible due to the walkway being overgrown forcing one of us the drive, other than that we enjoyed our stay

  • "We had a very relaxed and comfortable stay at Hazel Lodge."

The lodge was well equipped with everything we needed and was in a great location for visiting the local coastline. The hot tub was huge and fitted all 6 adults in easily, such a bonus. All sad to leave after a week, 100% recommend.

  • "Lloyd was extremely helpful and responded very quickly whenever we had any queries."

The lodge was very comfortable and had many amenities, the large screen tv being great for watching the Euros. It even had Netflix. The hot tub was a very welcome extra and the log burning stove provided a cosy addition on a wet evening. The paths down to the village could do with clearing a bit as it would be nice to stroll down to the pub in the evening. The paths are currently very overgrown and difficult to negotiate. Other than that I can think of no negatives and we all had a very enjoyable stay at Hazel Lodge.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay, couldn't fault the lodge and facilities, very clean and equipped, and the hot tub was nice."

A nice location, albeit it on a hill so not suitable for boules, a couple of nice walks and bike rides. A couple of helpful items to add to the lodge would be a broom and a clothes horse (for when it's raining outside).

  • "The lodge was absolutely ideal especially with the added bonus of a hot tub."

Everything was spotless. The only problem was having to walk quite a distance for the toilet and shower, maybe an outside facility would be an idea. Instructions for the dishwasher would have also been helpful.

Gemma and Lloyd were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for Gemma. She was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We had lots of beautiful walks and our local pub was in walking distance and was lovely. The children had a great time blackberry picking and exploring. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing and memorable holiday x

The use of the gardens was especially brilliant with having 7 children with us. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening :) Gemma did a great job of welcoming us and making sure we had everything we needed. We can't fault the accommodation!

  • "The lodge was great, really clean and well equipped."

We spent most of the time in the garden so really nice to find all the outside loungers. The one problem we had with all the bedrooms was how light they are in the morning. We had hoped for a relaxing lie in, but we were up with the sun. Black out blinds definitely needed! (Also maybe some wd40 on the creaky doors!) We walked to The White Horse on the Saturday evening, really recommend it there.

  • "Has a party of 8 normally we would be tripping over each other but this wasn't the case has our accommodation was reasonably well spaced for a medium sized Lodge, The 2nd floor helped with this as the children had there own space leaving the adults to enjoy our well deserved relaxing break, The hot tube was brilliant and kept well maintained, The weather was a total washout but didn't effect our holiday what so ever, the Hot tube was well covered so we still had use of that My only criticism would be no Wi-Fi but I personally found that not a problem giving Us all some long over due family time and interaction."

I know the owners are looking into Wi Fi for the future If you do need some family bonding and a relaxing holiday I would strongly recommend this break to everyone, Best regards Mr Ferguson

  • "Lovely cabin, very comfortable, clean and well equipped."

Hot tub was brilliant and was used every night! Village of Washford small and can't walk to it but has a local spar and Tesco/Morrisons only ten mins away, couple of really good eating places too, had a lovely carvery at Washford Inn. Grounds of cabin lovely and well maintained but watch if you put washing on line at Hazel Lodge as under a tree and often gets messed on by birds! I would highly recommend any of the holiday homes at Shells cottages, had a super week!
