The property

Ladye Park is a magnificent home in Liskeard, Cornwall, steeped in rich medieval heritage and set within five acres of private grounds.

Once a revered site of Christian pilgrimage known as “Our Lady at The Park”, this former monastery was home to a historic shrine dedicated to Our Ladye of the Park.

To this day, the property retains a sense of spiritual allure, with an on-site Fountain of Youth, long believed to be a place of reflection and renewal for pilgrims throughout the centuries.

Now fully renovated into a grand country residence, Ladye Park blends historic charm with luxurious modern living, making it ideal for large families or groups of friends seeking a truly distinctive escape.

Step through the welcoming entrance hall into an expansive living room, where an open fireplace and Smart TV create a striking focal point, setting the tone for evenings of warmth and companionship.

Entertaining is effortless thanks to two impressive dining spaces: a formal dining room perfect for celebratory meals, and a relaxed breakfast-style dining area ideal for casual gatherings.

Both flow into the bespoke kitchen, beautifully equipped with a large electric AGA, electric oven and hob, American-style fridge/freezer, and all essential appliances, while a separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Across the first and second floors, seven well-appointed bedrooms await, offering a thoughtful layout designed for comfort and privacy.

Two double bedrooms enjoy en-suite facilities, while additional sleeping arrangements include a further double, a single, two second-floor single rooms, and a spacious family room with its own TV.

These are complemented by a family bathroom with bath and shower over, a second shower room, and a convenient ground-floor cloakroom.

Outside, the meticulously landscaped and fully secure grounds provide a peaceful backdrop for exploration and relaxation, perfect for walking your dog.

Enjoy open-air dining at the picnic bench, fire up the barbecue, or take a leisurely stroll through the estate, perhaps pausing at the historic fountain to appreciate the enduring legacy of this once-sacred site.

With its extraordinary origins, enchanting surroundings, and elegant interiors, Ladye Park offers a rare opportunity to stay in a property where history, beauty, and modern comfort come together in harmony.

In Liskeard, step back in time at Stuart House Museum, admire the historic architecture of St Martin’s Church, or enjoy a scenic ride through lush countryside on the Looe Valley Line railway.

Over in Looe, spend the day meeting rescued marine animals at the Old Guildhall Museum & Gaol, take a boat trip to the protected Looe Island Nature Reserve, or build sandcastles and paddle at East Looe Beach.

Meanwhile, Plymouth offers unforgettable experiences such as discovering ocean life at the National Marine Aquarium, standing at the top of the iconic Smeaton’s Tower on Plymouth Hoe for panoramic views, or exploring the immersive exhibitions at The Box, the city’s major museum, gallery and cultural space.

With rich character, generous living areas, a choice of social spaces, Ladye Park promises to be an exceptional location for your next holiday.
