  • "The house was a perfect property, with everything you need in beautiful surroundings."

The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need. The showers were also excellent and water always hot. Our dogs also loved the garden and we felt safe watching them run off the lead. We loved the garden terrace and grass area and the wildlife including many birds and even the pheasant used to visit. We would love to return with the family soon.

Thank you for your lovely review. Hope to see you again in the future Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was really good, loved the wraparound garden."

Also liked the thoughtful touches to accommodate mobility such as hand rails where needed and a riser recliner chair. Unfortunately, our holiday was spoiled by the rude behaviour of the owner (wife) not her husband. We lost our key whilst we were out one day and had to call the owners to request another key. The wife was very rude, advising us that they were missing a meal out (guilt trip)didn’t have a spare key only the master, so needed to get one cut the next day. They left us with a key to the patio doors so that we could still go in and out. Surely, they should have alternative cover if they are not available in case of emergencies… we are the customer after all and didn’t appreciate the poor customer service. The next day her husband came with an envelope with several keys in it. The keys they had cut to replace the one we lost didn’t work in the lock, but they had a key cut for another door and after fixing the locking mechanism from inside left us with a door key for another door. As we were made to feel really bad, we went back to where we were the day before and tried to retrace our steps, also asked in the shops/pubs if a key had been handed in. We struck lucky and managed to locate the lost key. We thought the husband was coming back that day so would have given him the key that day but he didn’t come back. The next day we saw the owners as we were coming back from a trip out and mentioned we had found the key. The wife was just abusive again and I mentioned to her that I thought she was extremely rude. Her husband sped off with her to stop her saying anything else, although I did hear her parting comment about it was us that lost the key. Later I had a message which started as an apology and then another rant. I did respond to her message but never received the courtesy of a reply. Very poor customer service, she left a lasting impression and for that reason I would never stay in that property again. The husband was very polite, he was not the issue. Such a shame as loved the property but would not feel comfortable dealing with the wife again.

We appreciate all feedback but we feel this is a bit misleading for future guests. We fully understand that you were aggravated that it took an hour to get to let you in when you lost the key. We were however as we explained at the hospital and came as soon as we could via our home to collect spare keys. We always recommend guests use the key safe to avoid this happening but unfortunately along with the benefit of a stand alone cottage is the issue that there is no 24 hour reception and although we pride ourselves on always coming to asssist we are dependent on location and traffic in case of emergency. Having come to let you in and ensure you had access overnight we went the following morning when the key cutters were open to have new keys cut and came out again. It was unfortunate that the main door lock is slightly unusual so that these were unsuitable but we still provided at our second visit additional keys so the inconvenience would be minimal. We were aggravated at our third vist the following day having again returned to the locksmith to have the keys recut when you announced nonchalantly that the keys had been found the previous afternoon. Our frustration arose as you didn't have the courtesy to tell us you had already found the key when you were aware we were still trying to source a key for the main door. At no point did you accept that loosing the key was your responsibilty and neither did you offer to pay for a new key or an emergency call out, indeed you emphasised your inconvenience and told us we should be grateful to now have another key at not a great expense because you had found the key you lost. Finally this is not the first time that a key has been lost at a cottage which is why we recommend using the key safe. The guests concerned could not have been more apologetic and in addition to offering to pay for a new key sent back the original one with a letter of apology when it was subsequently found in the lining of a handbag. Nevertheless we are pleased that you liked the cottage but would recommend choosing somewhere with an onsite reception in future. Property Owner

  • "Very spacious but still cosy."

The kitchen was extremely well equipped, loads of space, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer and super useful hatch into the dining room. The king-sized bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The setting with views was sublime and very close to the beach and nearby towns, but still so peaceful, would highly recommend.

  • "Nice and clean."

Bathroom good. Beds comfortable. Plenty of utensils and plates. It's a shame the sheep emigrated - they told lovely stories of the previous tenants. But they did send the 2 bouncy hares in their place.

I am so pleased you enjoyed your holiday and had the opportnity to meet the Littleham Court hares. Property Owner
