  • "Ideal location on the hill of a hill overlooking Lynmouth, amazing view from the lounge window."

Handy exit throw back door to area to allow our dog do toileting 1st thing. Quirky property with interesting history. The owner, Gillian was very friendly and accommodating. All essentials provided. Location is an absolute excellent base to explore the surrounding area.

Only downside property is accessed by a very very steep single width access road on a bend parking on property a bit snug.

  • "We loved our stay at this apartment, Gillian made us feel very welcome and at home."

If you like period features, huge sash windows, spectacular sea views, comfortable furnishings and quirky vintage decor, this is the place for you! There is a private path direct from the house that zig-zags down through the steep hillside garden, giving a three minute walk direct to Lynmouth harbour front and a great pub. Another walk, up a tarmac public path to Lynton, is possibly the steepest I've ever walked up, but give it a steady 10 minutes and you soon get to the shops and other pubs there. Don't be put off by the electricity meter, we only used about £7 in a week (including the £5 already in when we arrived) and we cooked most nights, although I imagine that heating in colder months would use quite a bit more. The apartment has its own private access as well as the shared access through the reception area. There's also a terraced seating area just outside the windows to sit out on warmer days. A great value stay.

Very comfortable, clean and the owner (Gill) was very friendly and welcoming. This was my second stay, and this time I brought my new partner with me, who also enjoyed the week we had here. She and I will be back again in the future I’m sure.

Disappointed that you couldn’t draw the curtains to make the bedroom darker as other apartment lights shone in and also the sun by 5am. Parking excessively tight and access and egress poor

  • "Fabulous views from Clooneavin over valley, town, sea and cliffs, apartment with the balcony for morning coffee in the sun was great."

Interesting Victorian house with orangery type entrance with high ceilings, lots of plants and interesting 'objets de art'. Just an extra £7 on electric in the meter - heating on a bit due to cold NE wind. Kitchen and bathroom v clean and tidy- electric shower OK. Wifi good enough to connect work VPN, video calls etc - occasionally slow but very workable. Perfect location for stunning walks on coastal paths and inland to Exmoor. Recommend.
