  • "Lovely accomodation perfectly situated for us to visit relatives in Glastonbury and Chepstow."

The nearby beach is vast and great for our dog to do zoomies. The welcome pack was fab, treats for us and Baffles our dog. The only issue we had in the accomodation was finding the cutlery...how many adults does it take to find the drawer? 3 and when we did we were in hysterics! Note, it's under the gas hob in a 'secret drawer' So funny!!!

  • "Spacious house in a nice area with easy parking on the driveway."

Comfortable lounge with large screen tv. We stayed the week before Easter and the weather was terrible but the house was lovely and warm with plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, the thing that let it down for us was the very hard uncomfortable beds. One of the single bedrooms had a hanging rail but neither had bedside cabinets or drawer units.

Kitchen facilities excellent, there was one problem with the electric going off on hob, microwave, extractor and fridge. Problem was a fuse blowing but was resolved quickly and effeciently by both Sykes and the owner. Location well situated to shops and 2 supermarkets. Excellent bathroom facilites with bath and rainfal/spray shower. Lovely heated towel rail and towels. Appreciated welcome pack

  • "Lovely spacious and clean accommodation that was comfortable."

The kitchen is very spacious with plenty of cupboard space but this was let down by the small fridge with only a very small freezer compartment. There’s more than enough room for a fridge freezer which would make all the difference. Also, the 2 downstairs bedrooms would benefit from some proper chest of drawers rather than box shelves and a bedside table would make things more comfortable in these rooms. Patio furniture in the second patio area would mean you could use this space later in the afternoon when the sun has gone from the main patio. Apart from these points it was lovely accommodation.

Property is clean as usual and a welcome gift is much appreciated (including the cream eggs, thank you). It may be worth considering garden lighting as the existing lights do not seem to work. Also, my elderly parents came and they would have appreciated a grab rail in the shower. However an excellent property and will be booking again in the near future.

  • "We had a fab time away over Xmas."

It was immaculately clean and we even met the owners who were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Love the down stairs facilities bedrooms and beautiful bathroom shower room my main reason for choosing as I can’t use stairs now. I do have to agree with the all the previous comments the sofas they really uncomfortable it certainly didn’t help my pain I have MS and unfortunately couldn’t get comfortable throughout our stay I spent most of my time sitting in the kitchen! I do wish there was a bigger freezer box it was only a tiny one Inside the fridge … being Xmas we had lots of frozen food unfortunately we couldn’t use but we didn’t throw away we gave to a food bank to be used on the day we gave them …. We would certainly stay again BUT only if the sofas are changed to more comfortable ones. Thanks happy new year 2023

Thank you for your helpful comments. As previously said in other comments new sofas are on order and should arrive shortly in the new year. We will also look into getting a fridge with a bigger freezer compartment. It was lovely to meet you too and we hope you will visit again in 2023. ***Update. The new sofas have arrived and look lovely in the lounge. Property Owner

Found the sofas a bit saggy but not uncomfortable. The shingle adjacent to the concrete parking area was quite deep and it was a job to get traction with an automatic gearbox and would advise anybody visiting with auto gearbox to park on the concrete. There was all the equipment needed with a large TV in the lounge. Very enjoyable stay would thoroughly recommend.

It was really cool and comfortable in the heatwave. Lovely, private outdoor space with regular visits from the birds. Great for families. I would highly recommend it as a base to explore Somerset from and to have relaxing days to enjoy the seaside attractions of Burnham on Sea. We enjoyed an easy journey to Cheddar Gorge and had a great day. It's an hour's drive to South Devon. In between, we wandered around Burnham enjoying the attractions, sights, pubs and beach, all easy to do on foot. Only thing, we'd have liked a proper freezer. But Tesco is a 3 minute walk, so easy to just live off fridge stuff.

Sorry to hear you had issues with the shower and bath. If you had got in touch with Sykes the problems could have been solved straight away. If anything, the pictures did not adequately express how wonderful this property is. The rooms were bigger than expected, the kitchen / dining space was great, and the living room cosy. The master bedroom and on-suite was perfect, and the showers in both bathrooms were amazing. The best part for us was that we were attending the wedding of my niece, and the property was just 10 minutes walk from my sisters house. Actually the location is amazing, especially if you like walking. 5 minutes walk to Tesco, 5 minutes to the Rosewood pub, 10 minutes into Burnham. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wishes to stay in central Burnham, and truly hope it is available again the next time we visit the UK.
