  • "What a stunning cottage this is, we had a very warm welcome from the owners."

It's fitted out with everything you need. The bed is huge and very comfortable, we slept really well. The wildlife is amazing especially the baby bunnies. Every home comfort has been thought of and the hamper was a beautiful surprise. Some great places to explore nearby so we were never bored. By far the best cottage we have ever stayed in. We will be recommending this to family and friends and going back soon but for longer next time. We didn't want to leave!

Everything you could want is provided by the super hosts. The area around is ideal for exploring set as it is almost equi distance between the North and south coast. We were made very welcome by Phil and Jayne, despite the circumstances of our visit having tested positive for Covid only days before our holiday we had a great time , socially distanced at all times. The welcome hamper and thoughtful early supplies of essentials was much appreciated. Thanks for a great break.

  • "We had a fantastic time at the Barn at Rapps cottage."

Phil and Jayne were wonderful and friendly hosts, always there to offer assistance with the accommodation and advice for our things to do in the local area - even small little things like offering a torch for a walk to the local pub, The Bell at Broadway - which does excellent food. They were so sweet with all the little touches around the barn... A welcome hamper, filled with local products - honey, gin and tonic marmalade, two bottles of cider from Perry’s just down the road, biscuits, fresh bakery bread, condiments and cereals. As we were their first ever guests, they also left us a bottle of Prosecco and a welcome card. There were no issues whatsoever with the facilities in the barn - the hot plate works well as a replacement counter-top, and the microwave includes a grill, which we didn’t try. The bed was so comfortable, with the softest sheets. We slept perfectly all three nights. There are plenty of things to do within a half hour drive - we did a walk from Chard through the Blackdown Hills with fantastic and varied scenery, visited Glastonbury, seeing the Tor, abbey and the town, caught the sunset at Ham Hill Country Park - with a nice little pub, and drove down to Lyme Regis beach. Needless to say we were busy all three days, but never had to rush and still had lots of time to enjoy relaxing in the barn and the front garden, which they kindly offer full use of. Our only regret is not booking for longer. We would return in a heartbeat and hope to do so in the near future. Thank you very much Phil and Jayne! Sean & Frankie

Sean and Frankie, thank you so much for your kind words. We’ve worked hard to get up and running and to get feedback like this makes it all worthwhile. You made great “First Guests” and please do come visit us again. Thanks, Phil & Jayne, The Barn at Rapps Cottage Property Owner
