    Our party was 6 adults in our family staycation. We had a fantastic week with lovely weather and this house was perfect with all the room and facilities we needed. Just a short walk to the seafront meant we could enjoy seaside walks everyday without using the car at all during our stay.

On the ground floor you will be greeted by three of the four beautiful bedrooms, all echoing the maritime theme of the property with their soft hues of blue, here you can find two double bedrooms and a twin, offering a flexible sleeping arrangement for a variety of group needs.

Also on the ground floor sits the impressive family bathroom, boasting a luxurious bath and and spacious walk-in shower, you can choose how you want to unwind after a day of excitement.

Moving up onto the first floor, you will find two delightful social spots; make your way into the kitchen/diner where everyone can sit around the generous dining table together, and open up the balcony doors to admire the estuary views and let in the fresh breeze of the coast as you snack on a tasty home-cooked meal.

A plethora of National Trust wonders can be found in the area too, take a stroll along the South West Coast Path and discover the 1913 Edwardian-style home of Overbeck's, with its hidden coves offering some of the most beautiful views in Devon, or venture to Snapes Point for a more challenging ramble.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
