“A couple of minor issues which were really quickly resolved by C&C.”

    1) Bedroom One blind, 2) Bathroom towel rail. Overall fantastic service by C&C.

    1) Bedroom One blind, 2) Bathroom towel rail. Overall fantastic service by C&C. The one niggle was the heating system. We found the house continually cold and this dampened the week. Literally. I would like to note that we did not fiddle with the heating controls as instructed and concluded that the system was not very good. Otherwise. A lovely holiday home that was perfectly located and had great facilities. We loved renting it for the week.

Thank you for your review. We were very happy to hear that you were pleased with our response to maintenance issues you reported to us. It is however disappointing to hear that you had some trouble with the heating system. We haven't had any other reports of heating problems, and the system was checked after your review and no faults found. We do have 24 hour assistance for any maintenance issues of this nature. It was fantastic to hear that you had a great week, and we hope that we can welcome you to area again soon. - Sykes owner relations

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
