"Very comfortable family house with lots of outdoor space for games, & a great terrace & sun room."
Bedrooms were spacious & well furnished. Kitchen & breakfast room had plenty of room for the seven of us to prepare meals & sit around the table.
Thank you for your comments, glad that you enjoyed the house. Property Owner

"High Cliff is a spacious house with a large garden so ideal for a family."
The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped (although the fridge is a bit small if 8 people are staying ). It is a bit ‘tired’ and needs modernising but that would obviously bump the price up ! It is a shame to see lots of dead planters around the property - given the hot weather it is impossible to keep them healthy so better to have none - it makes the house and gardens look very unkempt . Having said that we enjoyed our stay very much the house suited our needs and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal for my elderly mother . As others have said it is a very steep walk down to Lyme but that kept us fit !
Thank you for your feedback and glad that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately the super hot weather this summer was too much even for (most of) the succulents in the planters on the patio! Property Owner

"Beautiful house, lots of space and very clean."
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it. One thing to note is that it took us about 15 minutes to walk down to the beach but it’s very steep so walking back up the hill to the house was a challenge for some of our group, and a small section doesn’t have any footpath along the road
So glad that you enjoyed the house and your stay. Sorry about the hill; I'm afraid that only after a few years do you get used to it! Property Owner

"There were 4 things l felt needed commenting on."
It was disappointing that there were no facilities for recycling and everything had to be placed in the general waste. The dishwasher was old and did not clean the dishes very well at all. We ended up having to hand wash some of the items again just to get them clean. The lower patio door into the conservatory was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. It took a lot of pushing and wiggling to work. One final minor item was that the seat on the upstairs bathroom toilet was loose and not very stable.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm afraid that recycling in Lyme is woefully inadequate. We have fixed the toilet seat (sorry) and made sure that the door is adjusted - it will be replaced shortly, as will the dishwasher Property Owner

"The house is lovely; it is large and spacious and in good modern condition."
The twin beds that zip up into a super king are very hard but the double in with bunk beds is great. Otherwise everything is perfect. Lovely quiet location but close to the resort facilities.
Thank you for your feedback and glad that you enjoyed the house. Property Owner

"A lovely place to have a family holiday."
.. very comfortable and plenty of space both indoor's and out side .Plenty of parking spaces and a short walk into town We spent along time trying to find a place to recycle glass but it seems that Dorset has no recycling facilities which seems a real shame.
Thank you for your feedback. Glad you liked the house and enjoyed your stay. There is an unfortunate lack of recycling facilities in Lyme which is a shame. Property Owner

The town centre features a wide selection of independent shops selling local crafts, produce, art, and fossils, along with a strong choice of cafés, pubs, and restaurants to suit a variety of tastes. For walkers the property is a short walk away from Ware Cliffs and the start of the section of South West Coast Path known as the Undercliff which runs between Lyme Regis and Seaton.
A natural unspoiled environment of ancient woodland and open meadows preserved by the National Trust, the area was an important Armada look-out point and later overlooked the landing of the Duke of Monmouth in 1685 at the start of what became the Monmouth Rebellion.
It didn’t end well for the Duke, but you can enjoy the wonderful views and walks without fear of losing your head! High Cliff Orchard offers a comfortable, well equipped base for enjoying everything Lyme Regis has to offer.
