  • "Six horse barn is a fabulous cottage, generously accommodating four adults."

There was provision for all our self catering needs in a warm and very comfortable home. Gail, our host, was welcoming and shared interesting information about the area, not least the marvellous Moreton church windows! We will happily return as there is much more to discover in the area.

  • "First thing we noticed was how very clean the barn was for our arrival."

Easy to find, parking right outside, easy to get to Weymouth, Dorchester, Bridport, Swanage, Warehamnfor days out. 5 minutes drive to Lulworth Cove which is beautiful. The property is extremely comfy. Excellent beds and good quality bedding gave us a great night sleep. The electric shower is pretty average but we used the shower head from the taps which was much more powerful. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Great wifi which worked no problem with streaming. We had a very relaxing week here and will be back!

Spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable. Safe, peaceful and "calm". Lovely location and easy to access. No complaints or grumbles whatsoever!

Gail the owner made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. We have stayed in lots of properties in the UK over the years and this was definitely up there with the best ones.

  • "An absolutely lovely cottage which we really couldn’t fault."

Great location being lovely and quiet yet close to the places we wanted to visit with our children. It had everything we needed for ourselves and 2 children. Our nearly teenage son loved the excellent WiFi!! Lovely owners too, and couldn’t fault their commitment to keeping the cottage clean and safe during the COVID pandemic. We have been a cautious family throughout the pandemic, and it was a relief to get away and feel so assured they’d done everything they could to keep everyone safe. Thankyou!!

  • "The Barn was deceptively spacious and light."

Although the property was not in the village of Winfrith Newburgh it was in a quiet location yet close to the Road giving easy access to the Coast in both directions. We explored the lovely walks around West Lulworth and Osmington Mills. The host lives next door and was very helpful.

  • "Twin bed bedroom has a deep step at the head of the bed & a sloping ceiling ."

I accidentally hit my head & badly jarred my neck - so need to be aware of that if an older person ( like me!). Also there is a step down into the kitchen & back lobby - just be aware . Very nice property- spacious & comfortable . Plenty of parking - country setting . Friendly & helpful owners on site . Would happily return .

On arrival wine, biscuits & wine waiting. The host was really welcoming & attentive, if we visit this part of the country again we would certainly return to Six Horse Barn.

  • "We are seasoned travellers and Six Horse Barn is the best cottage we have stayed in for many reasons."

First of all is the owner Gail, she is on-site to help out if need but never intrudes. She is friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble for her. The cottage is centrally located for all the attractions you may wish to visit in Dorset. It is spacious and well stocked with all the essentials you might need for your self catering holiday. Within the cottage, everything is of good quality, unlike some places who use cheap and uncomfortable products and items. A great deal of care has been taken to ensure guests comfort. Outside is a small self contained garden with table and chairs, and a washing line for your laundry. Wi-Fi connection was excellent. There is a couple of pubs, take-away and convenience store close-by if required. Cleanliness is second to none; so important during this time of the pandemic. The cottage is fogged at the beginning of professional cleaning, and then fogged again when cleaning is completed. A hand sanitiser machine is situated at the entrance of the cottage. Overall we would strongly recommend you stay at Six Horse Barn, it will always be a firm favourite with us.

  • "Six Horse Barn is a lovely cosy comfortable cottage."

It has all the amenities that you would need at a holiday let. My only disappointment was the double bed was a little on the hard side (nothing a mattress topper wouldn't sort out). However, I would recommend this place as a fab place to stay.

  • "Generally very happy with our Dorset cottage, lovely location for visiting the area just minutes from the beautiful Lulworth cove!"

When we first booked there was no image of the living room so I was concerned it would be tiny but I shouldn’t have worried it’s HUGE and open plan onto the separate kitchen/dining area and very nicely decorated. The only tiny negative is the rear garden was very small, and not terribly private, I think the photos make it seem enormous but we spent most of our time out and about anyway. The owner lives onsite and always seemed happy to help, she has a nice plant nursery on the grounds you can walk round.

  • "A very enjoyable week in a lovely property."

Furniture and beds were comfortable and all rooms decorated to a great standard. Kitchen had everything you needed. The location was ideal for exploring Dorset. We visited lots of lovely towns and villages and coastal spots, all easily accessible from Six Horse Barn. We will most likely book this property again.
