  • "Couldn't find where to leave rubbish and the bucket for ashes for the fire was full of other stuff so not sure what to do with cleaning the fire/wood burner The WiFi is very poor and needs rethinking."

Its a basic requirement for almost everyone nowadays. Loved the property and enjoyed the tranquility

Hello John, thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad you enjoyed the property and the tranquility. We do read everything our guests say. The rubbish bins are on the roadside just outside the wall. Our housekeepers tend to leave firefighters, matches etc in the ashbins to keep things tidy but you’re right that might not be ideal when guests need to use them for ash! We use Wessex Internet for WiFi and their service is normally brilliant. I’m not sure if there was an outage during your stay (we’ve had some terrible weather) but all seemed good with the WiFi again when I checked it from outside earlier. We will double check again at the next changeover. I’m so sorry you had problems with it during your stay. Property Owner

The lights in the lounge were very dim, but aside from that it was great. Liked the fenced off garden at the front of the cottage which made it easy with dogs, and especially liked the car charging points, which made it so easy to charge our car in the evening without having to search for a charging point, wasting valuable holiday time. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 dogs (thank you for letting us bring 3) Didn’t use the games room but it looked impressive. Would happily return.

We were amazed at the comfort, cleanliness and facilities of the property-so much so, we have recommended the location to friends and family. If I had to be picky, stripping the beds in the morning felt a little 'like home' and took a slight edge off the experience as was worried about the 'rules'.However, that was a slight gripe as we loved the property.Thank you to the owners-we will definitely be back!!x

Communication and arrangements were all very clear and went smoothly. It was generally very clean and everything worked well. The surroundings are really beautiful and the views out over the fields are great. We would definitely come back to this, or one of the other cottages at Hedge End Farm in the future. The only minor issue to mention was that the en suite bathroom off the master bedroom has quite a strong musty smell - would be worth trying to do something about that as it was the only problem with anything really.

I had to take my wife out the front door across grass and into our bedroom via french doors at night and in the morning . otherwise the cottage was very good. We also felt it would be good idea to have some grab rails over the bath, as this would help older people not to have a fall. We would like these facts brought to the attention of the owners.
