"Great holiday, really relaxing, weather perfect, enclosed garden so no need to worry about the dogs, short drive to local towns and beaches, cottage perfect inside and out with comfy beds."

"Loved the stay and cottage…."
Really beautiful place. So peaceful, away from everything but don’t have to drive to far to get to attractions. Will definitely stay again

"We chose tis cottage due my wife's mobility issues."
Movement around within the cottage was excellent but access from the car and through the entrances could be improved.
Facilities really good with the exception of the shower being over the bath with no grab rails and the oven temperature control.

"A lovely holiday let in beautiful grounds."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would happily return.
A couple of suggestions: maybe upgrade the TV to a larger one, and a heated towel rail would be nice.

"We absolutely loved this beautiful little cottage, even more spacious than the photos depicted."
The lovely open plan kitchen spills over to the lounge, so we could cook, socialise, and warm ourselves in front of the roaring log fire. The underfloor heating added to the comfort, with comfy beds and a beautifully tiled bathroom for plenty of hot showers.
The kitchen was so lovely, that we even decided to take time to bake and decorate a cake, for all we needed was available.
We loved the wraparound veranda, and truly enjoyed wrapping up warm and having a morning coffee together, looking out to the garden and open fields, an epitome of tranquility.
We did not need to call upon the owners, whom lived next door, as we found everything we needed kindly provided by them, including a great recommendation to a local quirky pub called The Sheppy.
We were truly sorry to leave such a lovely, homey cottage, but with the hope to return in the summer, when we can enjoy the outdoor space much more.
Thank you to Charlotte & John !

"Lovely cottage in a very quiet location."
We used this as a base for touring around Exmoor a couple of the days, though that is a hours drive away. Plenty of things to do and see more locally too, and the week went by far too quickly.
Although not mentioned in the published details, there is a microwave oven and a hairdryer provided. There are also Tea towels, although the “generic” information sent by Sykes suggests that visitors need to bring their own.
The garden is lovely, and a pleasure to sit in when the sun is shining. There’s a picnic bench, but a couple of folding chairs would be nice so you could keep in the sun as it moves round.

A labour of love by the owners in conversion from farm building to a quiet haven. Everything one could wish for to enjoy a relaxing break.

"A very nice, comfortable cottage."
Set in a lovely garden and nice views over the Somerset Levels. There is plenty to do in the local area. Glastonbury is not very far and there are a number of National Trust properties nearby. We would definitely return to this cottage.

"A wonderful, warm and cosy cottage with a subtle retro design feel."
The perfect place to relax and reset. Our two little doggies loved the garden and field. We loved the location, a great base to explore the towns, villages, beaches and cider barns of Somerset!

"We spent a wonderfully peaceful week here."
Our 3-year-old and dog loved playing in the garden and jumping in muddy puddles along the paths. The house is warm (insulated) and elegantly put together. Hosts were very thoughtful - we found a decorated Christmas tree and mince pies on arrival. Hosts were also were on hand to give us spare keys when we inadvertently locked ourselves out. We needed to do some work during our stay, happily the WiFi was good for online meetings. We hope to come again sometime and see the garden in another season.

"Old Cary Cottage was delightful and the owners friendly and helpful."
The weather wasn't brilliant but we were happy to bunker down in this charming cottage with a fire and the lovely view from the long sitting/dining room over fields and trees. The garden is lovely too, and would be great in the summer months. It's a wonderful location for exploring the Somerset Levels, one of our favourite parts of the country, and we'd definitely stay here again - the cottage has great karma! Very happy to recommend it.

"Such a quirky special place, with a beautiful outlook over the garden and fields beyond, quiet and peaceful, but not far to go to, to see Somerset sights and coast, Chester our Cockapoo was in his element, and we wished we didn't have to leave."
