"We found the cottage to be a good base for travelling around the local area, it was clean, comfortable and homely."
As to be expected there was some road noise, though not too obtrusive. The outside space was difficult to access for our elderly dog as the stairs are very steep with a low ceiling point that was a little awkward when carrying her up and down. Worth noting that there isn't an outside tap to clean off muddy dogs/boots at the cottage, we have a portable washer in the car so it wasn't a problem to use that, best to be prepared if travelling in wetter weather and heading out to enjoy the lovely local walks.
The living area is very cosy and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cater easily, the tv is just standard freeview, but there was a nice selection of games and dvds for the evenings. The bedrooms were comfortable and we especially appreciated the showers having decent water pressure.
The welcome hamper was a nice surprise and we all enjoyed sampling some local treats. Overall we enjoyed our stay and if it wasn't for the garden access not suiting would very happily visit again.

"Comfortable, cosy and convenient accommodation."
Pros: next to bus stops, which was super helpful when the clutch went on our car. We were still able to get out and about to well beyond Lyme. There's also a beautiful walk into the town.
Cons: squidgy mattresses and slightly low sofas. Could be problematic if you have issues with your back, as me and my hisband do. Outdoor space is very small, but we knew it would be, so that wasn't an issue for us.

"Lovely location, the accommodation was well stocked with all the things you need."
However, it needs a really good clean and spruce up, it’s shabby including the outside area which was unmaintained and unusable. Shame really because it could be so lovely if given a little TLC

"Good value for money and ideal location if you want to be near Lyme Regis."
We were down for the weekend for a family gathering, we are an adult couple and a single adult. The beds were all comfy and it was great to have two bathrooms. The kitchen is very well appointed and has plenty of space. The parking space is a bonus, as we were mostly driving everywhere due to having a disabled person with us. Lovely pub 5 mins down the road.

Lovely little cottage close by to all the places we wanted to visit.
Off-street parking is provided and a collection of keys simple, well thought out process.
We really enjoyed it, we will definitely be back.

"Could have been so lovely."
...
Sadly, the property was very tired and in need of thorough a freshen up.
We've never encountered so many items within a holiday home that were broken or didn't work. Cleanliness wasn't the best, with mould present in every room too. We found mouldy crockery in the cupboard.
The property smelt damp and unpleasant.
We came home a day early, to avoid having to sleep in the uncomfortable beds another night.
Can't say we will be returning.
Thank you for your review and we are disappointed to see that you didn't enjoy your stay at 1 New Inn Corner. However, I am pleased to say that since your stay we have spent a considerable amount of time working on the property for the new season ahead. The mould has all now been rectified and I can report there is no longer mould in any of the rooms. I appreciate though that you had this during your stay and it was during a cold and damp time of year where this isn't necessarily easy to completely avoid. All the kitchen utensils have now been replaced and it is now all new. I am also pleased to report that the mattress' are being replaced in due course. Considering that this property is a 4* property, we feel that the pricing is reflected fairly.

"This was a clean and comfortable property."
Plenty of space and well furnished. It was really well located for dog walks, with routes around forests and the lim path down to town or the sea. Our only niggle was road noise. Effort had gone into sound proofing the bedrooms but the windows in the bathrooms were hard to close meaning noise still got in.
Thank you for your review, I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay here in Dorset. I appreciate your comment regarding the road noise but all efforts have been made over time to limit the outside noise. We have introduced the double-glazed windows which has made a difference. The windows in the bathroom are tough to fully shut, we haven't ever had this as a reported issue but will be a point we will look into.

"This was our second stay in this beautiful cottage, really well maintained and lots of added extras, outdoor space still a bit tired and could do with a bit of a spruce up, still
It was nice to have somewhere to sit out on a warm evening."
Handy bus stop across the road and lots of lovely walks for our dog. The walk alone the river to Lyme Regis is a must.
The private parking space just across the lane is a God send. We’ll be back.

"Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the outside space unable to use that facility and also the steps to it."
We are mobile people. Unable to use allocated parking space on first night as someone a local had used it.
We do apologise if you felt the outside space wasn't usable. As a local agent in Lyme we would have happily attended to it if notified during your stay.
Parking spaces are like gold dust in Lyme, and sometimes people will park without thinking of others. Again, if contacted at the time we would have assisted you with this.

"Accommodation adequate but nothing special."
TV kept switching itself on at random time including the middle of the night. Sheets and bathroom fine and clean but living area floor filthy upon arrival. Kids ware bathed and barefooted and within the hour their feet were filthy from the floor. Beds seemed fine until we stripped the beds before departure. Mattresses dirty. First night ok but then on second day evening it was really hot on the apartment as the radiators were on full. The place even smelt hot! Thermostat wasn’t working so had to turn rad valves to frost setting. Wouldn’t book again.

"Had a lovely stay, cooking facilities was great with a big kitchen."
We are glad we weren't very tall as the ceiling in the living room was quite low, it wasn't a problem for us. Wifi was a bit weak in the main bedroom. We had a toilet issue but it was dealt with straightaway. I thought we would have traffic noise through the night as the place was close to a main road but we slept very well. Definitely go back again if we were going back to Lyme Regis
