  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bothy."

    Location is excellent for town centre and beach etc. We did find the matress a bit uncomfortable as used to a medium firm one at home. In the evenings we found the lighting very poor to read in. At times the water pressure in the shower was poor but seemed to improve during the showering process. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

  • "I really loved the Bothy."

    Simple, elegant, has everything you need. View and location are perfect. Lyme Regis, and surrounding areas are beautiful, and interesting. I didn’t get back in the car once (love that), and what I could walk to and see was an amazing amount, and next time I might get in the car because with only short journeys there is a lot more to see. All in all a perfect little holiday.

  • "The Bothy was the most perfect of havens - cosy but with a feeling of real spatiousness."

    Stunning views of the sea and some lovely sunrises too. A wonderful place for gathering your thoughts and getting inspired. If you come without a car as I did be prepared for some steep uphill climbs from the town and shore but public transport is close at hand for trips to and from Axminster, Charmouth, Bridport, West Bay, and more. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay, great location with added bonus of a parking space."

    We were very comfortable and cosy, the view is amazing! You need to be fit enough to walk up hills as Lyme Regis is very hilly but lots to do and see. We would stay there again. Only downside was that the shower lacked pressure but didn’t spoil our stay! We met the owners who were very friendly

  • "Amazing stay in a great location."

    The Bothy's photos don't do it justice! The view from the balcony is incredible and the interior is clean and tastefully decorated. The only issue we had with the property was that the drain was clogged when we arrived, but it was an easy fix. Plenty of cookware, dishes, and glasses, and easy to use facilities. Would highly recommend a stay here.

  • "We had a wonderful romantic break and found the property and location to be enchanting We were very happy with the facilities provided, and warm and comfortable (it was down to low ⁰C overnight, and just using one heater was plenty) The owners are lovely, and were really helpful when we spoke to them A minor point for consideration though: better heating (maybe underfloor?"

  • "A few webs up high."

    A little sofa would be nice. Shower head and tile grouting could do with a descale/scub but it was clean. Kitchen are and equipment all very clean. We very much enjoy the Bothy and our week’s stay and hope to be able to return sometime.

    Impressed with amount of electric plugs and hooks which has been lacking in other holiday lets, would have liked a power shower. The Bothy is tucked away but friendly helpful owners around if needed. Would recommend for relaxing short break in picturesque Lyme Regis and hope to return again next year.

  • "A lovely little getaway, all the amenities needed in a lovely location."

    The views from the balcony were lovely, wished the weather was a bit better so we could have sat out more.Only thing we missed was a sofa to sit on after a long day out. Altogether a wonderful base for exploring that part of the Jurassic coast.

The Bothy is a wonderful studio apartment near the stunning coast of Lyme Regis in Dorset.

Commanding wonderful views of the sea and the Jurassic coast, and hidden away amongst mature trees, this charming bolthole is perfect for a romantic getaway.

The living space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the home with natural light and allowing you to make the most of the views.

The interior is tastefully furnished with exquisite personal touches throughout giving this apartment a luxurious feel.

The kitchen, although compact, is a wonderful space to conjure up a tasty breakfast or dinner which can be enjoyed sat looking out over the gardens to the sea beyond.
