The coastal walks around the gardens are perfect for an afternoon stroll or family picnic.
Take a walk along the harbourside, via the Old Stone Pier, stopping for a bite to eat in one of the numerous restaurants, pubs or cafes.
Just a short walk across the town-bridge you will find yourself in the town center where you can explore the usual high street shops or local quirky shops.
On the edge of town you will find the aware-winning sandy beach, a treat not to be missed whatever the weather.
If you wish to discover more of Dorset why not take a drive along the coast road to West Bexingham, the market town of Bridport or visit some of the many attractions across Dorset such as Monkey World or Bovington Tank museum.
