The island is perfect for birdwatching, exploring the quarries now butterfly reserves, Tout Quarry Sculpture park.
The Portland Bill lighthouse with massive Pulpit Rock is very popular attraction and has two pubs nearby open all days in summer months, but you may need to check opening times in winter.
If you wish to explore further, venture East and you will find glorious Jurassic coastline with popular attractions such as Durdle Door arc, West Lulworth castle, Corfe Castle ruins with pretty village, amazing Jurassic rocks at Kimmeridge Bay, Champman’s Pool and more.
