  • "Very Enjoyable stay, thank you!"

The fans made a big difference in the heatwave. We enjoyed time in the patio garden with a couple or BBQs. The house is well equipped for children with plenty of books, games, utensils etc. For those with children, there is a fabulous park & green a short walk down from the pub, which we stumbled upon by chance. We enjoyed coffee at Rise Bakery, Mercato Italiano, Soulshine and Symondsbury kitchen with tasty meals at Hive Beach Cafe, The Parlour and 3 Horseshoe pub. Thank you!

  • "We had a lovely time in Honeypot cottage."

It exceeded expectations. It was perfectly well equipped and clean and well presented upon arrival. A small clothes line/ drying rack would be useful for beach towels etc. We loved a morning walk in the village, spent time at beautiful hive beach and ate in the restaurant and would recommend. Abbotsbury was a fabulous day trip as was lulworth cove. We ate in the 3 horseshoe pub in burton bradstock and it was excellent and we were recommended the rise restaurant in west bay which didn’t disappoint. The weather was fab and an evening spent on the patio at the cottage or in the new inn pub ended a perfect day. Sorry we hadn’t booked for more than 7 days. We will be back to this coastal area.

  • "An excellent cottage with great facilities and really well located for what we needed."

The only slight issue is parking with 2 vehicles as there is limited space on the road and in front of the garage. But everything else about the property was perfect.

  • "There is a problem locking the patio door, found it impossible to lock from inside."

So every night we had to lock it from the out side and go back in through the front door. I think the door itself flexes which means you can push it from the outside but not inside. Apart from that everything fine

  • "Completely exceeded my expectations."

Everything about it was perfect; the location, the cosy-ness, every room was so well thought out, we were wanting for nothing. I don't normally leave reviews but Honeypot cottage is somewhere you will create wonderful memories with your family. Thank you!

  • "We have just had a lovely mid week break at Honeypot Cottage despite the weather."

The cottage is tastefully decorated and had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. Parking wasn’t a problem, there was a welcome pack of Tea, Coffee etc which was a very nice thought. The rooms are light airy and beautifully clean, we would love to go again.

  • "We had a great few days at Honeypot."

Shipton Gorge is a fantastic location, a real gem, proper Olde Worlde village setting. The property is in excellent condition, everything is very comfortable. The decor is modern and well designed and you are surrounded by interesting features like the fire place and little extras like a quirky coffee maker, a really good sized bath with shower over and lovely views from the back garden. I don't understand the previous comments about parking. There's a perfectly good space allocated, easy to park in, easy to get in and out of the car and easy access for the boot.

  • "Delighted with our stay."

Very well equipped cottage in a brilliant location. Parking a little tricky but we were half expecting it. We travelled with two small children and it was a truly great trip. We’ll be back!! Lots of extra thought - including books for kiddos and plastic cutlery etc - not to mention welcome biscuits and coffee. Thank you!

  • "We had a lovely 3 night stay over the Coronation weekend."

We had two cars so parking was a bit of an issue but that was half expected. Honeypot Cottage is a gem of a place and we have all said we would love to stay again and for longer. The kitchen was great with lovely views over the valley and hills in the distance. The beds were comfy and the cottage was clean and tidy. Such a serene and peaceful place and a bonus being close to the New Inn where we had a lovely meal and a laugh with the regulars!

  • "Well located."

Thank you for fixing the hot water for the bath room which wasnt working when we arrived. One of the beds has an uncomfortably hard mattress by anyone standards. Parking was a hassle as the space in front of the garage wasn't big enough for our car and when we parked on the road, the neighbours asked us to move saying they wanted to park their car outside the house
