  • "Worst holiday ever customer service was disgusting from sykes and the owners were to start lol we went with 4 children and dog and Mrs has kid ey cancer."

Partner slept on floor for 5days with the 3year old due to bed slats bee fitted to underneath bed frame installed wrongly said the maintenance guy,oh who just let himself in the back door while disabled lady was in with two todlers just let himself in the back door and I perso ally told sykes if anyone comes round to call is beforehand and no calls no knock on fro t door totally not execptable!!!all your calls are recorded, sykes as a company have been very disgusting. Oh and we couldn't sit in the lounge as a family to watch TV as we had no TV in the front room for 12days sykes didn't care and neither did the owner erick so we payed over £4000 to stay here for 3 weeks and we payed to have a TV in front room especially for the todlers but nope did t get what we payed for or what was potrade on this property, all kitchen items and cabinets drawers ect everything was very dirty and just gross had to wash everything before use.it is also advertised as dog friendly no its a tiny outside space may 6foot by 3foot and in conservatory had an access cover on floor all 4 screws sticking up no safety cover 3year old cut her toe on this as well as our dog again had maintenance guy come out and he screwed them down even he was shocked at how we were treated very very bad service terrible ow ers to they just take ur cash and do t give a toss about the customers very stressfull. We spe t 5 days calling sykes all they said was wait another day we had to call and chase it up that's wrong, sykes never called us back for 5days and many many calls I even requested a manager to call no call ever received from a manager. The TV issues owners eventually said maintenance guy couldn't get to us till the weekend we left so yea spent 12days no TV I lounge sykes or the owner could have poped out took a TV out the bedroom and put it down stairs I even suggested this but never happened as say they just don't care sykes or the owners!!shocking and disgusting whe you pay over £4000 we have kept all photos and all calls are recorded sykes!! A small compensation from owner of £100 was made which certainly isn't by far good enough!!!we will be posting all pictures and everything all over social media you don't treat your customers the way you treated us.I even explained how hard it was with kidney cancer and the todlers not having tv in lounge made it stressfull, the owner said take the beanbags upstairs to all sit in a bedroom To watch tv together as a family, ahhh excuse me,we didnt pay over £4000 to have no lounge/family room and certanly didnt pay to sleep on the floor for 5 days with a child!how disgusting is that ? I asked the owner how does someone just walk into the property with no knock on front door or call beforehand, the owner has yet to answer that or explain this when i said no as had all morphine and meds in the property, and you left an old disabled lady and two children crying due to been scared of a young random male just letting them selves in! I also asked owner who how and why does bed slats be fitted to the underneath of the bed frame should be on the top and fitted correctly, again no answers or explanations, just shocking and totally unfair and wrong everything. DONT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT AND the amount of drunks and addicts in this specific area and street is terrible there were street bums and drunks right outside the back door it was just a terrible, you should at least mention the amount of drug and alcohol addicts are present on derby street , disgusting ordeal From start to end I would like to just warm everyone dont stay here and avoid booking via sykes as they just don't care about any issues all they care about is taking your money!!!!DONT STAY HERE!!

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 19 Derby Street."

We found the property extremely spacious and very close to the beach and Weymouth town centre. There were two things that we found disappointing; One was the parking situation. It appeared when we booked that there was a parking permit as part of the deal of this property. There wasn't! So we had to pay an extra £10.00 per day parking which we hadn't budgeted for. I tried to ring the owner of the property to discuss this and got no response. Also this property has NO garden or out door area. This property is advertised as being pet friendly. We took our dog and had to do walks early in the morning and late at night just so that our dog could do a wee. I wouldn't therefore recommend this property to any one who wishes to take a dog.

  • "Good location near everything."

There is parking nearby which is £10 per day. The owner never responded regarding the parking permit they are offering. Property was grubby and hadn't been cleaned very well. On arrival there were glasses on the drying rack, can of Dr pepper in the living room and towels hanging behind the doors that looked like they hadn't been washed. None of the back sliding doors locked and we couldn't find a key. There isn't a courtyard or outside space at all you can sit in as it states. The living room is a good size and comfortable. The bedrooms are huge. 2 doubles and a triple bunkbed. I would say this a good property if you're in a group and looking for somewhere to sleep as i went with a friend on a last minute break and it suited us fine but I wouldn't have been happy had I gone down there with my family.

  • "Great location and the house was good in lots of ways."

But disappointed with the courtyard. I assumed this would be an outside area we could sit in but was just a rectangular of patio between the conservatory and the shed. Also the triple bunk I didn't expect to be 3 bunks on top of each other.. Assumed it would be a double on the bottom. I can see why there are no pictures of either of these! But we did have a great holiday in Weymouth. We wouldn't be able to book the cottage again as my 15 year old son struggled with the bunk bed but it is a good house.
