  • "Facilities would have been given the maximum score, but the shower was weak and the temperature was variable, sometimes running cold mid-shower."

    Aside from that, the property is well-equipped and comfortable. Parking was not an issue for us, but the listing should make it very clear that the space is limited. A large, or estate car would overhang the pavement, and struggle to fit in the width available. The popularity of the location means that there is very limited roadside parking during the day. Kiama is situated in a super location with views over Sandsfoot Castle and the sea beyond, close to 2 beaches, and with a good café on site. The downside of this is that on occasion there can be noise into the late evening. Behind the property, the Rodwell Trail provides a mostly flat and tree-lined walking and cycle route into Weymouth (40 mins). It also gives access to a local pub, good chip shop and Co-op within a 10-15 minute walk. In summary, this is a very well-equipped property, in a super location, and we would happily have given it 5 stars if it were not for the shower.

    The pictures online don't do justice for this place! Superb location, most amazing view. It was clean and well kitted. I would recommend to a friend and myself and family may return again.

    A forty minute pleasant walk into Weymouth Be aware the single toilet is through the garage on the lower floor - more like a garden toilet No welcome pack.

  • "The property was clean, well equipped with quality goods."

    The bed was very comfortable and plenty of space. We would suggest a blind to the bathroom window for privacy, especially when the light is on. The cafe across from the property does get noisy, but shuts down at 5.00pm.

  • "We loved our stay at Kiama!"

    We usually book a caravan on castle cove but noticed this was on for the same price which was great value and more space for our family of two adults and two children. Jon the owner was super friendly, helpful and always responsive to messages. Most of all, we loved the AMAZING views and enjoyed watching Portland as the sun went down. The Kitchen had everything we needed, the dishwasher was a bonus, as was the washing machine. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back. Thanks Jon!

  • "Very nice accomodation with amazing views towards Portland."

    The bonus was the use of the garage to stow our e bikes. The cycle path for walking or cycling to Portland or into town is literally outside the door. My wife and I stay in Weymouth every October for our wedding anniversary and normally rent a caravan on littlesea holiday park but would think about renting this property again. The only downside is there are no usb points in the house to charge phones etc.

  • "A lovely relaxing week was just what we wanted."

    That's exactly what we got. Kiama is a beautiful holiday home, very clean , comfortable bed and everything we needed. The area is quiet with lovely views with lots of walks. It felt just like home. We met the lovely owners. This is certainly one holiday home that we will look forward to visiting again....hopefully next year.

  • "The property was comfortable, clean, modern and well equipped."

    The view over the sea from the first floor balcony and the general location were excellent. The cafe and gardens opposite offering fresh coffee, ice creams and a beautiful place to sit were an added bonus. The Rodwell Trail behind the house offered a quiet and gentle walk into the town. Fantastic property and a fantastic week.

  • "A lovely house in a super location."

    There were a few things that the owner was able to deal with straight away in a calm and friendly manner - getting the garage door to open, replacing a light bulb and descaling the kettle. There is just one small thing I would have appreciated and that was a soap dish/holder in the shower as there is nowhere to put it at present. All in all a very relaxing stay with a wonderful view and the weather to enjoy it.

  • "Kiama is a lovely holiday home with views to die for!"

    , it is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The only downside we found was the parking for the cafe directly opposite, the road is not very wide and blue badge holders would constantly park making it very difficult for us to get in to and especially out of the drive!. Perhaps the fact that the weather was so good all week was what made the outdoor cafe so very popular the week we stayed.

  • "Some issues with the shower drain ,the water builds up in the tray when having a shower,maybe partially blocked drain."

    The only other issue I would say would be the parking which was a very tight fit into the garage entrance I could only put my car just entering into the gap of the garage so leaving my car overlapping the pavement which couldn’t be helped,perhaps this should be pointed out to future visitors who have wider vehicles these days.But overall we enjoyed our stay,thank you.

As per your suggestion..the drive can accommodate large cars and SUV etc but in some cases, depending on the car door size and whether 2 or 4 dooe it's better to reverse onto the drive.   • "The only problem with Sykes is your cancellation policy especially for foreign visitors."

    We should be able to T least bank the money towards another stay or have cancellation options or something Kiama was located in. Beautiful spot with great views. Very comfortable and owners very accommodating. We had everything we needed provided and we would recommend the accommodation and look forward to staying again We enjoyed the little cafe opposite and lovely walks Lovely and clean also. The property

Well-positioned in the bustling resort of Weymouth, with views across the Dorset coastline is Kiama, a three-storey home.

Enjoying a convenient location near a host of shops, eateries, the beach, and a range of attractions, whilst adorning elevated sea views, overlooking Sandsfoot Castle and Garden, Kiama offers the ideal base for an escape to Dorset AONB.

Park up and enter Kiama, where you'll firstly find access to the garage, utility with washing machine, and a handy cloakroom.

Ascend the stairs to the first floor and be welcomed into the lovely living/dining room, complete with plush seating, a wall-mounted TV, and a balcony, where you can relax and watch the sun set over the shoreline.

Continue through to the well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up delicious meals with the helping hand of a gas hob, electric oven, and dishwasher for convenience.

Catch some rest in either of the two bedrooms, located on the second floor, including a double with TV, and a twin, both serviced by a bathroom.

Awaken to a morning coffee upon the rear patio, before following the Rodwell trail woodland path, travelling from Weymouth to Portland.
