Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. The cat waste is something we are aware of and we regularly spray the area to deter cats. We visited at the weekend and could not find a problem with the showerhead. It has been tightened anyway. I’m sorry you had an issue with the bed linen, had you contacted the office they would have sorted it out straightway. Likewise they could have retrieved the garden cushions from the shed. They had not been put out yet as the weather had not been conducive to sitting in the garden. There were however garden scatter cushions in the cupboard. Unfortunately the water pressure is not something we can do anything about, having said that we have never had an issue with it. Thank you for bringing the grass to our attention, it should have been cut. It has now been done, and will be cut every week throughout the summer. Property Owner

Thank you for taking time to leave your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and I apologise that the grass was not cut before your visit. This has now been done, and will be cut each week throughout the summer. The lightbulb has also been replaced. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Property Owner

It’s a real home from home and is convenient, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring all the many attractions that Weymouth has to offer and parking is easy with a private parking area at the back of the house. The beach and town centre are within walking distance and there is a convenience store at the end of the road. We have already booked to return later in the year. Highly recommend this beautiful holiday home. It’s our favourite!

  • "Southview retreat is in a residential area of Weymouth, about a fifteen minute walk the centre."

The property is nicely decorated and is clean on the surface with comfortable beds. However, there are certain things that need improvement I.e. the cooker hob is very temperamental to put it nicely! I know this has been mentioned before in reviews. We mostly ate out so it wasn’t too much of a problem for us, but it does need attention. Based on location we probably wouldn’t return to this property.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We (the owners) have taken a look at the hob and have found it to be in perfect working order. All we can think is that perhaps the instructions in the folder weren’t found which is unfortunate, we will ensure that the instructions are kept in the kitchen in future. Kind regards Property Owner

Ideal location only 15 minute walk to Weymouth town centre. Lovely little seating area outside to enjoy a cuppa in the early morning sunshine. Some great places to visit within a short drive Bridport and West Bay amongst our favourites.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Southview and perhaps we can welcome again in the future. Kind regards David & Clare Property Owner

Not too far to walk down to the beach and a supermarket only a short drive Away. The only issue was the hob, had difficulty getting it to work. A good holiday house for us and our grandchildren. Would recommend.

  • "We absolutely love Southview Retreat and have stayed there several times."

We were disappointed to find that it was unavailable for our second holiday later in the year. We tried to change our holiday dates but weren’t able to, so we’ve had to book somewhere else. We’ll definitely be booking Southview retreat again next year though. It’s so clean and comfortable and the perfect spot to explore beautiful Weymouth from. Parking is easy and the town centre with its many attractions is just a five minute drive away, as is the beautiful seafront. Can’t wait to go back. Trish and co.

So glad you enjoyed another stay at Southview Retreat. Thank you for your lovely review. Sorry that you haven’t been able to book in again later in the year but we hope to welcome you again soon. Property Owner

House would benefit from a higher fence to the one side. We couldn’t let our dog out on his own because we feared he would get into the neighbours garden.

We are sad to hear that you found the house to be dusty. We take great pride in the cleanliness and you will see from previous reviews that that is often something commented on. It will be looked into. Property Owner

  • "A lovely house, it has all the facilities you need like a home from home with some nice personal touches."

The garden and furniture were perfect for an evening drink and breakfast. It’s a 20 min walk to the main beach, Asda was a 5min drive, but with a great Londis shop around the corner for the extra bits was a bonus. Off road parking is tight for 2 mid sized cars, but some spaces at times on the front, the only thing to look out for is the gravel off road parking area is used as the local cat tray ! not much you can do about it, but worth a quick scan of the area before venturing out especially with children. On the whole a fabulous comfortable reasonably priced place to stay and would highly recommend it for families and couples.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your positive feedback. We fully appreciate your comments re the parking area. We have lined up a builder to concrete the area in the Autumn once the season finishes. Property Owner

It’s absolutely immaculate and so comfortable! It’s also very handy for all the local attractions, and it’s just a few minutes drive to the beach and the town centre. It has easy private parking at the back and it’s also easy to park at the front of the house. We stayed last week, ( our third visit ) and we have already booked again for later this year. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property, it’s fab!

  • "We had a great time in Weymouth, even the weather was good."

Southview Retreat was an ideal base for us, it was a bit of a hard walk into town for my 80 year old mam though due to the hills! The house was very much as described and everything we needed was there. The parking space at the back was particularly useful, as you couldn’t always get parked near the house in the street. We have a large car but it was fine once you got the knack of getting into and out of the space!

The house was gorgeous, and so comfy with a great garden and parking is always a bonus. Like a home from home. Only 2 minor comments - sad there was no option to recycle (so we ended up taking ours home with us). And the curtains in the master bedroom were really thin - just a personal preference as I like a dark bedroom.

So comfortable and garden great for the dog as safe and enclosed. Close to everywhere but a bit of a trek back from beach as slightly uphill! Furnishings comfortable.
