  • "The property was large and comfortable for our group of 6 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs."

    The grounds were extensive and ideal for the children with a large climbing frame, swings, trampoline and football goal, which we were unaware of at time of booking. The location was lovely and within easy reach of many places to visit. Tim was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and nearby places to eat. We had Sunday lunch at The Five Bells in Chailey which had good food and friendly and welcoming staff. We all enjoyed our stay. However the property description on the Sykes website had inaccurate and missing information. The listing said that there were 7 bedrooms, 6 kingsize rooms and 1 bunk room, when in fact there were 5 kingsize rooms, 1 bunk room and a small study with a small double sofa bed. Fortunately one of our grandsons was able to use the sofa bed, although it did mean that the room could not be used during the day unless the bed was folded up. The listing also mentioned that there was a downstairs ensuite bedroom but failed to explain that there was an abnormally high step between that floor and the open plan living area which is a problem for those with reduced mobility.
