“We absolutely loved loved the cottage and loved the area it was in.”

It was clean, fresh and cosy. The views from it were dramatic and spectacular. Previous feedback mentioned that the owners had thought of everything and based on that I didn’t take some basic cooking ingredients that I have found in previous accommodations ie oil, sugar, salt, stock cubes etc and there wasn’t a supply. That’s not a criticism in any way but just useful for future tenants to know. Particularly good food in the area was The Lochailort Inn, Glenfinnan hotel and the Mingarry ...

That’s not a criticism in any way but just useful for future tenants to know. Particularly good food in the area was The Lochailort Inn, Glenfinnan hotel and the Mingarry Park restaurant. As for what to do we loved the scramble to Smirisary beach, getting the boat to Eigg, watching the steam train cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct and finding Tioram castle. I also would recommend wildwood bushcraft mornings. We organised a private family morning and had a ball.

The property

A modern, detached holiday cottage with magnificent views over the Sound of Arisaig, in a fantastic position in the heart of the tiny coastal village of Glenuig, next door to the pub and just 100 yards from the community shop, church and village hall.

The waves of the safe and sheltered sandy bay lap just a stone's throw from the garden fence of this charming holiday cottage, and the cosy accommodation, including a woodburner in the sitting room, welcomes you back after a day spent enjoying the wildlife, peace and tranquillity of the area.

Local activities include walking, fishing, golf, watersports and birdwatching.

Frequent sightings of wildlife include otters, deer, eagles and even the occasional porpoise.

A superb cottage, the ideal spot for a restful, peaceful retreat.
