  • "The cottage is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped."

We received a warm welcome from John, the owner, who couldn’t have been more helpful. If we want to stay in this area again, we would definitely re book Wellinghill cottage.

  • "Exceptional Cottage Beautiful tranquil setting with lovely views."

Cottage is perfect. It's spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. John and Val are the perfect hosts giving a warm welcome and treating you more like family than paying customers. They are a stones throw away and very helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped with absolutely everything you need. There is even milk in the fridge and dishwasher tablets. Plenty of space to cook, sit, eat and relax. If you prefer to eat out there are lots of suggestions in the guest book, (we enjoyed Dunkertons) and you can even book a cream tea with the alpacas - something we will do next time. The living room is cosy and a great place to relax at the end of the day looking out at the views or watching TV. Upstairs the bedrooms and bathroom are again spacious and spotless. Plenty of pillows and towels. The cottage has the convenience of being right on the edge of Cheltenham but set in a large farm at the end of a long driveway you are in beautiful peaceful countryside. There is your own secret garden to enjoy along with short walks around the horse and alpaca fields or longer ones along public footpaths. The week we spent at Wellinghill was relaxing and refreshing and we will definitely be going back. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Thank you so much for your comments We do all we can to make guests comfortable and enjoy their stay It was so nice to meet your family and friends Hopefully see you all again soon Property Owner

  • "This is a great property, very reasonably priced and in a lovely part of the world."

Despite its seemingly remote location, it is in easy walking distance of Charlton Kings and the outdoor food/cider hall at Dunkertons in the opposite direction. The cottage is extremely clean and everything finished to a high standard. John was very helpful throughout our stay. My 7 year old is already asking when we can go again! NB. It can be a little tricky to find - don't put too much faith in Google Maps, and make sure you read the instructions from the host properly!

Thank you Michael for your kind comments and we look forward to your return Property Owner

  • "Fabulous modern accommodation in a great location."

Good size bedrooms with lots of storage. Large bathroom. A hot week for july 2026 and the cottage still felt cool. Lovely snug room to watch films and kitchen has all you need. Helpful and friendly owners. Most attractions 20 to 30 minutes away by car. We had an amazing week here and enjoyed the enclosed garden and watching the sunset by the front seating area.

  • "Really beautiful cottage to stay in."

The views were lovely from the property windows of the countryside (and alpacas) and a really quiet area. Everything was there that we needed for a weeks stay. John and val were very attentive. Perfect location to explore around the Cotswolds! Would definitely consider returning in the future.

  • "This stay in one word?"

Fantastic! The location, the surroundings, the flat (cottage) itself, the hospitality and the helpfulness. Everything about this stay was top notch. Everything is clean, tidy and of very good quality. Plenty of space. In a very quiet area, but a short distance from Cheltenham itself. The hot water wasn't working, and in no time at all, a plumber was on the doorstep (and there were plenty of apologies). It turned out that one of the switches was in the wrong position, but that was quickly resolved. Afterwards, we had hot water and enjoyed a pleasant chat with the owner. We really had a few fantastic days here. If we want to be in this area again in the future, we will definitely try to stay here once more.

  • "Beautiful cottage ."

. very clean and comfortable.. having the whole property to ourselves for the week was amazing. Free to come and go as we please and had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and was nice to chat to them about the farm. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about the property.

  • "This was the perfect place to stay during our visit to Cotwolds and honestly the cottage was one of the highlights of the trip!"

The cottage is very clean, modern, has everything you need, and located in a peaceful scenic area, yet very accessible. The owner is very friendly and helpful. You could see some wonderful scenery from the cottage windows and it’s also located opposite to a nice farm (where you can buy fresh eggs). From the cottage, you can reach a lovely village called Charlton Kings walking, but also easily within a 10-20min drive visit most of the nicest Cotswolds villages, Cheltenham, and Crickley Hill. I would definitely visit again.
