  • "The lodge was situated in a lovely quiet spot, but we were able to use the amenities of the bigger site near by."

    The lodge itself was lovely, well equipped. Made it very homely. Plenty of games etc. it was spotlessly clean . The owner was so very patient and helpful when I needed to contact her. Will definitely be returning.

  • "Seating not very comfortable also lack of instructions re gas cooker, heating."

    For example had no idea how to switch electric fire on. Also no handrails in bathroom. Expensive for 5 nights.

    There is a folder with all the information for appliances, in the lodge.We try to make everything as oerfectcas possible,and can't always please everyone with the seating. Property Owner

  • "Well presented and very clean."

    Only one small complaint found the "sofa" in the lounge area not to be very comfortable for sitting...otherwise very happy.

  • "This was our third visit to Lodge 12 in the New Forest and once again we had a peaceful, relaxing holiday which was what we needed."

    The lodge is comfortable and well appointed with its private setting in a gated area. We found the smart TV and the air fryer useful. It is a good base for visiting the surrounding area e.g. Lymington, Exbury Gardens, Beailieu and Milford on Sea. There are two garden centres nearby with excellent restaurants. If it rains, the Castlepoint shopping centre is only half an hour away. The owners are very helpful if needed.

Lodge 12, a detached, private corner lodge situated on the New Forest Lodge Retreat, adjacent to Shorefield Country Park on the edge of Downton, Hampshire.

Enjoying off-road parking, open-plan living and access to a wealth of on-site facilities, Lodge 12 is the perfect space for a family of four looking to holiday in Hampshire.

After a day of wandering the local area, step into the open-plan living space, sporting a light and airy feel with a well-presented kitchen, hosting a range of appliances to assist with home-cooking, whilst the dining table is where you can gather for meals.

Enjoy alfresco dining from the terrace before whisking away for a freshen up in the shower room.

As you call it a day, there are two well-presented bedrooms to choose from, including a double with en-suite shower and a twin, both featuring ample storage and Freeview TVs for entertainment.
