Very well equipped kitchen, lovely hot tub & fantastically comfy settees. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & the beautiful views around the property.

  • "Just got home after 3 nights at the incredibly beautiful Stables!"

Booked with my friends for my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint in any way! Arrived first to a bunch of flowers and balloons arranged by my boyfriend and kindly decorated by Louise who was so kind and friendly before, during and after the stay! I can’t thank her enough

Comfort & facilities in abundance. My only regret was having to leave. The owners on hand & we’re so helpful, A huge thank you to them for making it a memorable holiday that will not be forgotten.

  • "The Stables is the perfect place to stay for large groups."

I would highly recommend visiting the waterfall and petting farm. The only downfall with the property was the main bathroom shower appeared to clog slightly while using it. But other than that, we had a great holiday!

  • "We stayed at The Stables with my 11 friends for my 24th birthday and honestly had the best 3 nights of our lives!"

Hot tub was constantly hot, showers were lovely and the beds were a dream! There was building work being done in the property directly across from us but we didn’t hear a peep from them, instead as they were going on lunch breaks/ready to leave offering to nip to the shops for us for extra alcohol or food which was so lovely! the owner Louise was delightful too nothing was too much bother! The only problem we had with staying here was the flies, but in my opinion that’s out of the owners hands so it’s more just a location thing.

  • "We had a lovely weekend with the family ."

The Stables felt spacious and comfortable, it would have been nice to have more seating outside . The hob was a little temperamental at times but overall a great time was had.

  • "Amazing week away at The Stables."

The owners were easy to contact and were amazing when we needed some help. The hot tub got plenty of use and the animals were super friendly. Facilities were perfect. The bath tub was devine and so much storage, that for the first holiday ever we didn't live out of our suitcase and instead put everything out. 10/10. And would definitely consider a return in the future.

  • "The barn was lovely and very well equipped."

Plenty of flies to keep us company, compounded by the extreme hot weather....but after all, it is a farm! Reversal of the cold tap direction through us, so don't think that they don't work....just turn them the other way :-) Louise and Richard are brilliant landlords and any issues we had they worked hard to get resolved as quick as they could. Definitely a great place to get away from the stress of life, and although out in the sticks, you have plenty of animals to keep you company (we particularly loved the 2 donkeys and the goats next door!) and the nearest civilisation is not that far away. Great break away having been locked in our own houses for 2 months!

  • "Fantastic place to stay!"

Lovely living room which was used by our group and was the focal point of out stay. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and very modern. Hottub was amazing, especially at night. Huge kitchen and fridge which was very helpful. Oven was a bit tricky to get to temperature but didn't take anything away from the experience. Master bedroom was also very lovely and the location overall was enough out of the way to enjoy the feeling of isolation but not too far away to pick up a local chinese takeaway from Knighton. Didnt realise the far side of the stables was another holiday let but didn't hear a sound from the people stopping there so wasn't as issue at all. Overall an amazing weekend away. Would recommend to anyone.

And what a treat to find Christmas decorations, a present under the tree and a basket of local goodies on arrival! Fantastic communication with Louise and all the facilities needed for a very enjoyable weekend away with friends. We will definitely be returning, highly recommended!

  • "This property was amazing, was so perfect for our girls Christmas."

The owners had been great and contacted us prior to let us know some road closures. We even had a problem first night with getting the oven on and they arrived in no time to help us. We will be booking again for annual get together and will definitely be looking at this place direct with the owners.

  • "The whole visit was amazing from start to finish."

Quality of all furnishings were above expectations. Only item we thought was missing was a speaker but we had our own. But that was only because we were a group on a family for a hen party, otherwise probably not required. Everyone in our group wants to return. Thank you for making our weekend one to remember for all the right reasons!

Nearest town is about a 10 min drive. The children loved the house and a great garden but their highlight was having the donkeys come down to the fence . The owners really went out of their way for anything we needed and the welcome basket was such a lovely touch - we ordered more of the welsh cakes before we left . Would definitely recommend if you’re wanting a complete rest .
