  • "Brilliant accommodation, superb views."

  • "Had a great time at the Yachtman."

The three balconies are an amazing place to be. The top floor is a very nice place to relax and taking in the views. A very spacious property. Generally well equipped. Just some small points that in no way affected our stay, just check there are six items of everything, cork screw missing. After the winter and storms the waterside top balcony would benefit from a clean. Otherwise great holiday and considering another stay.

  • "Love the location and the views are second to none."

It was our second stay and have booked again. but I do think fixtures and fittings are getting very tired, lamp broken and lights in kitchen not working, mattresses very uncomfortable. but lovely new Towels.think it also need a very deep clean.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Your input is very valuable to us. We are delighted to see that you appreciate our lovely location and the views! Although, I am disappointed to see that a few things were not up to standard you expected. Certainly broken lamps/lights should have been addressed before your arrival so I will look into that with our housekeeper. Things do get a little tired as we near the end of the main holiday season, but we are now making plans to refresh a few things over the winter period ready for the spring! We look forward to welcoming you again very soon. Property Owner

  • "High rate of cleanliness and tidy."

Beautiful views from the top floor, especially the sunsets. Very hot in the day, lots of flies at night. Could maybe use a bug zapper or flyscreens on the back. Accomodation was good, could do with updating in the near future (paint ,doors, blinds), nice bathrooms, good kitchen, everything you needed was there. Road out front could be noisy with the window open. Back bedroom was quiet. We enjoyed our stay, just the insects were the problem.

In order to get out of the front and back door you needed a key.

First impression on arrival was poor Driveway very tatty and needs tarmacing and three rubbish sacks placed outside front door which were removed Sunday however inside property very nice and well equipped but a shower caddy in bathroom would be helpful and a new bottle opener Freezer had not been checked as lollipops left inside My only criticism is the oven and microwave are much too complicated to use when you only have a week to familiarise yourself with the cooking Instructions Shrubs at pavement end made property drive way look very unkempt and needs removing to make access easier as if two cars parked on either side of property would make access difficult Smoke alarm bleeped most of the time and was irritating when sitting in the upstairs lounge This is a well equipped and lovely property and if any of my suggestions where actioned It would be superb

Oven and microwave are very (overly) complicated !! Oven used once and went into “error mode” 6 !! Needed power off reset …. Position is excellent. Very comfortable. Well appointed and lacking nothing for a good stay… Only 4 wine glasses though for possible 6 people staying ? Highly recommended for a good stay on the IOW……

Yachtsman's enjoys four floors of contemporary elegance, with a bright and airy aura throughout, offering a superb base for you and your family to explore the Eastern tip of the Isle of Wight.

Enter the property into the lobby area, where you can kick off your sandy shoes before exploring the rest of the property; this floor also plays host to a utility with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a storage room, great for bikes and other outdoor equipment.

Head up the stairs to the first floor to find the social quarters, where a contemporary kitchen is equipped for catering delicious home-cooked dishes, by making use of the electric oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster and dishwasher.

Once dinner is ready, settle down at the dining table and soak up the views of the nature reserve, before sinking into the sofa and tuning into the large Smart TV.

If you are seeking a peaceful spot to enjoy the views, head to the dual aspect top floor, where you will be spoilt for choice for views as you relax into your evening with a cool beverage in hand.

During a balmy evening, open up the patio doors on this floor and soak up the views further, perfect for watching the world go by and catching glimpses of the local wildlife on the nature reserve.

Once the sun has set, make your way back down the stairs to the second-floor to find three bedrooms with outstanding views, designed to ensure a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the needs of your group.

Choose between a super-king-size bedroom, where you can look forward to waking up to the views overlooking the marshes, or two twin bedrooms, ideal for younger guests of the group or groups of friends wishing to holiday together.

Take a stroll into the bustling village of Bembridge, where you will be delighted to find independent shops, cafés and restaurants, making a great spot for touring the village’s three beaches and the white cliffs of Culver Down on the doorstep.

Choose to laze on the glorious sands on the beaches, or if you are feeling daring, try one of the watersports available, including windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking or deep-sea fishing.

Those with a palette for seafood, be sure to walk down to the marina, where you can purchase freshly caught crab and lobster, or if you fancy trying a hand at fishing, hire a boat and go fishing before taking the catch of the day back to the property to cook up a storm!

For more picturesque views, visit the National Trust owned, St Helens Duver, a relaxing space for a family picnic, rock pooling and birdwatching; you may see flocks of geese, duck and waders in the winter, whilst in the summer, you may see warblers and other small birds.

About the location

BEMBRIDGE

Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.

Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
