  • "We booked this for a holiday with our grandchildren."

The hot tub was a feature we were really keen on. When we arrived the tub was cold and was not hot until our second day. The tub then malfunctioned. We reached out for support more than once and got none. The house is very cute, and so is the garden. It lacks some basics (like a way to make coffee) that could be expected from a house of this standard. The living room stank of smoke because of the burnt wood being stored there. Overall a very mixed experience

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very glad to hear you enjoyed the house and garden, but we’re genuinely sorry that several aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. Regarding the hot tub, we completely understand how disappointing it must have been for it not to be fully up to temperature on arrival. We would like to clarify how our changeover process works to give some context. For same‑day changeovers, our team always attends the property first thing in the morning. We drain, clean, refill and balance the hot tub immediately after the previous guests depart at 10am. Typically it takes around 4–5 hours to reach full temperature. This is also outlined in the hot‑tub guidance we provide to guests in the welcome book. We are sorry to hear that you experienced a malfunction and felt you did not receive support. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we will be reviewing our communication processes to ensure guests receive prompt assistance. On the points about amenities, we appreciate you highlighting the lack of a coffee‑making option. This is something we will amend in the near future. Regarding the smell of smoke in the living room, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Storing burnt wood indoors should not have happened, and we will ensure this is addressed so future guests do not experience the same issue. Overall, we are grateful for your balanced comments. While we’re pleased you found the house and garden charming, we take seriously the areas where we fell short and will act on them. Your feedback helps us improve both the property and the guest experience going forward Property Owner
