• "A spacious cottage with quality fixtures and fittings The owners were on hand if needed but not intrusive, I requested additional chopping board and kitchen towel, both items supplied within a matter of hours If I could suggest any improvements it would be a couple of footstools as we like to sit with our feet up and a tray to carry drinks on, this is not a complaint just a suggestion."

• "We had a lovely break at Baa lamb cottage."

  A great place to explore Kent! The cottage was one of the nicest we have stayed in with a luxurious feel. The woodburner and bathtub were very welcome at the end of a busy day sightseeing, Although we didn’t use it in March, the large garden would be nice for relaxing in the summer. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for a lovely stay with some thoughtful extras to make the stay special.

• "Beautiful cottage, very peaceful."

  Interior decorations are delightful, really comfortable and the welcome pack (Waitrose) is everything you need on arrival, especially the Prosecco! The six foot bed in the downstairs bedroom is brilliant, slept like a baby. The owners are available by phone if needed (we didn't need them). Romney Marsh has an amazing history so is well worth a visit. We'd go back to Baa Lamb Cottage any time. Highly recommend a visit.

• "The cottage was delightful and a lovely place for a winter break."

  I imagine that it would be a great place to have as a base for this interesting part of the country at any time of the year. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well well equipped with many thoughtful and generous touches: it’s like staying in a particularly nice boutique hotel with the added benefit of a fully fitted kitchen and an open fire. It’s the best Sykes property I have ever stayed in and I hope to come back soon.

  The owner lives next door and would be on hand if there were to be any problems, which, happily, there weren't. The welcome pack was very generous. This is a holiday let that can be booked with confidence.

  Thank you so much for the lovely review and we are so pleased you enjoyed the cottage. We do not actually live next door but are quite close at hand if it was ever necessary. I did pop in to see you as you mentioned looking forward to meeting me when you arrived. We do not normally interact with guests as we feel people prefer to be left to their own devices these days. • "Although there was an initial problem with the heating, it was resolved quickly and we had a very comfortable stay."

I am so pleased you had a lovely week ( as mentioned to us in the thank you note you left ), and that you were able to visit all the places on your list. I have no idea how the air entered the radiators like that but, as you say, the plumber came immediately to rectify and you did mention how lovely and cosy it was with the woodburner alight. Also, we always have the 2 spare electric heaters under the stairs for any eventuality. Property Owner

• "Baa Lamb Cottage is in a quiet location on the beautiful Romney Marshes."

  There is plenty of room for parking and its only a short distance to Dymchurch, Hythe, Lympne etc. The cottage is spacious, well maintained, and has a lovely secluded garden. The owners have tastefully decorated, furnished and equipped the cottage to a high standard. Everything we needed was available. We had a wonderful, comfortable and restful week at Baa Lamb Cottage and would certainly visit again in the not too distant future.

• "Baa Lamb Cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in."

  It was very peaceful, but only a short drive to Dymchurch beach and other nice places to visit. The cottage was comfortable, very well equipped, nicely furnished and beautifully decorated. Providing bathrobes was a really nice touch. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden and the view from the front of the house was lovely.

• "This is a wonderful property."

  The attention to detail is exquisite. The main bedroom with all it's panelling really does look that good in real life, and the furniture in that bedroom is extremely good quality and very classy. There is a huge amount of room in the cottage, and the allocated lawn area is also very generous - although when we stayed, it was a little cold to be sitting out there. Although we did not need it, I thought the addition of a concrete ramp to access the garden instead of trying to get a wheelchair up a 6" edge was a very thoughtful touch. The toiletries selection was the best I have ever seen. There were over 10 different types of Molton Brown toiletries in the main bathroom, as well as decent hair and body washes in the shower. The owners are just next door, and are attentive to any issues. They even brought us some lovely fresh apples upon arrival. The welcome pack was all Waitrose goods, and included tea bags, milk, Prosecco, biscuits, as well as the good selection of coffee pods for the maker. We were shown the owners' sheep, and our son enjoyed feeding them their Rich Tea Finger biscuits! :) There is just one drawback to this property, which is the upstairs bedroom, which is a little height restricted - this is honestly depicted in the online pictures. There is a wood burner stove in the lounge, but we did not have much luck with it - that's probably us just not really knowing how to use it. We would have absolutely no reservations about returning to this property. It is ideally located and is a pleasure to stay in.
