  • "Not disabled friendly, we had to leave early as my husband couldn’t walk the slope of driveway, the barn owner was very nasty about my husband’s disability."

    But such a lovely cottage.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you found the property not suitable to your needs, Sykes have an in house reservations team who would have assisted in finding a property suitable for you. We can confirm this is a gentle slope leading to the property. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful cottage situated by an organic farm."

All quality furniture and fittings - plus the best bedding, cushions, teatowels etc. The king sized bed gave me the most comfortable and much-needed sleep each night. The little garden with table and chairs (where we ate our breakfast) was full of lovely plants - a real bee haven. Many more great features, just too many to list. I'd give it 10/10

  • "We both loved our stay at 1 Little Ripple Cottage."

The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable. We’d recommend it to anyone wanting a central Kent location. We visited several places across Kent including Canterbury, Sissinghurst Castle, Chartwell, Bateman’s, Igtham Moat, Bodiam Castle and Dungeness/Romney that were all within an hour’s car journey. There is only only recommendation that we’d make. The hot water system is so effective that the hot water feed to the bathroom sink is practically unusable: it gets too hot, too quickly. Suggest fitting a “mixer” tap.

Many thanks for your feedback. we are glad that you loved your stay and thank you for all of the great suggestions of places to visit! Thank you for the note re the hot water tap - we are looking into this with the boiler engineer. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property."

Really well equipped and spotless. Peaceful location but very easy to get to the main roads toward local attractions. Would definitely use this place again when I'm in the area.

  • "Attractive little cottage with period features in a beautiful, quiet location."

Very well-equipped, very clean, comfortable beds, own parking, high quality fixtures and fittings, smart TV and small but pretty garden/seating area. We loved it - thank you so much!

  • "The cottage was very well equipped, and everything reasonable had been thought of and provided."

It was clean and polished, but better lighting would have been an asset, but that is probably subjective. There is a rather possessive neighbour who came out to confront me for unloading in front of the cottage, as she owned the drive. I thought her rather unreasonable. 30 minutes to unload, and at the end of the week another 30 minutes to reload would not have been a great intrusion. However, I said I appreciated her problem and drove the car off her property and to the parking spot provided. This minor problem is mentioned in the cottage information, but as reading this isn't the first thing one does, it did take me a little by surprise. However, I was completely amenable as my wife and I didn't want to provide cause for resentment against the owners, and I never saw her again. Overall, an excellent stay, with the owners thoughtfully messaging me to check that everything was OK.

Thank you for your feedback. The drive in front of the cottage is privately owned by the neighbouring property for which the cottage has no right of access for vehicles (there is pedestrian access down the path to the cottage front door). Whilst this is highlighted in the cottage information pack, the pre-booking email has also now been updated to clearly state the access and parking arrangements so all new bookings are aware of this before they arrive. We thank our neighbours for being amenable and helpful and thank guests for also respecting their privacy. Property Owner

  • "Loved Little Ripple so much we didn't want to leave."

Every time we came back each day and opened the door it always had a warm welcoming feeling. Sarah and Rob had thought of everything, and out of 20 cottages we have stayed in over the years this was the most comfortable and well equipped cottage. We wished we had booked two weeks.
