"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
It was peaceful and very scenic. We loved the sound of the birdsong and we saw a lot of wildlife and farm animals. The locals that we met were both friendly and helpful. We took a little stroll around the pond at the farm. We booked the caravan for a relaxing break and that's what we got. The caravan is placed close to scenic walks and you can drive to other key locations easily enough. There were booklets there offering information on places of interest. We took a trip to the house and gardens that Beatrix Potter once lived in. We visited Keswick, for me personally it was too busy and touristy. However. the lake district has plenty to offer. I've been there four times and still there is plenty that I've yet to discover.

"General appearance was good, but the cleaning was superficial, things like worktops, crockery and cutlery needed to be cleaned, the worktop was still covered in crumbs, the toilet seat was broken and had been that way for some time by the look of it, also the fire in the lounge was not working, otherwise it was good, nice and peaceful and friendly owners."

"We stayed here for a week in September."
Lovely accomodation, had everything we needed, beautiful location on a working farm and the views are spectacular. Great that it's dog friendly, our German Shepherd had a fantastic time. There are lots of nearby walks and it's easy to drive into Keswick and Cockermouth from here. Short drive to a nice pub in Lorton village called the Wheatsheaf that does lovely food, big portions.

"We had a wonderful stay at whiteside, everything we could possibly need was provided."
Perfect location for Whinlatter, Buttermere, crummock water and Loweswater and all the surrounding fells. Ladyside pike is a lovely walk from the front door. A folder with info on local area would have been useful and we only found cushions for the outdoor furniture on the morning we left (it's in the coffee table).

"The property was exactly as described."
We had the site to ourselves as the other van wasn’t occupied whilst we were there, but as the vans looked away from each other even if there had been someone else staying it would still have felt private. The views from the property were amazing, and the furniture was exceptionally comfortable, just what was need after a day on the fells. I’d highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet stay in the northern Lakes.

"We enjoyed a week of mixed weather with our 2 dogs."
We loved walking the dogs around the fishing lakes close by. The owners were friendly & during the week provided potatoes, eggs & gooseberries from their farm. There is a TV but reception was limited to only the BBC channels. There were no games, jigsaws or books to enjoy on wet mornings. A small welcome pack of essentials eg. milk would have been appreciated.

"No internet for two of the days."
No lamps for evening ambiance. Floors were not cleaned. No relaxing comfortable furniture on outside decking making it unpleasant to relax on the sunny days/evenings.TV small which did not provide many viewing options due to no internet.
Our hosts were very nice and pleasant so please use these comments as us trying to be helpful rather than critical.
