5 Customer Reviews

  • "Lovely contemporary apartment, comfy and clean , good location, (though directions to actual entrance door incorrect on website."

) spacious walk in wardrobe ( a few more hangers would of been appreciated) would definitely book again , would definitely recommend. If being picky we were disappointed at not finding advised car park with free parking between 6pm- 9am, - luckily we knew where street parking 5 mins walk away was so used that. Overall enjoyed stay , oh and free standing bath deep and good size. Compliments to cleaning staff was spotless.

  • "It would been helpful to have been informed that the property was on a pedestrian street and did not have a number on door and that parking was not free."

    Essential information.

  • "This is basically a good holiday let in a very convenient location in Keswick, although not immediately easy to locate."

The description on Sykes is very confusing as it directs you to the rear of the building, when in fact Apartment 3 is situated at the front. It would be useful to include a photo of the building entrance on Sykes to help renters locate it quickly. It is has all the expected facilities, all in good order. The main drawback is the lack of natural ventilation to the property. Although there are fan extractors, there are no opening windows. The small window in the bathroom is either sealed against opening or badly stuck. Not a problem in mild weather but could be uncomfortable in hotter conditions. Also most properties have instruction manuals/leaflets for operating equipment. There are none here. The electric heaters require extensive programming/set up to enable munual operation. The equipment isolating switches in the kitchen have no identifying labels. We managed to switch off the fridge in error. There is one safety hazard that needs immediate attention. This is the step down from the entrance lobby to the living area. It is all carpeted in the same grey carpet and my wife never saw the step when first entering and fell. This would be a particular problem for people with sight issues. There needs to be a marker strip on the step. We used the provided yellow dishcloth (unused) for this purpose and left it in place when we left. The property is new and these issues will need to be addressed to make it an excellent holiday let.

  • "We had a fantastic time in apartment 3 helvellyn."

The apartment is modern, extremely comfortable and in an unbeatable location. The street view from the two ground floor front facing windows is great as is the keyless easy access to the apartment. The restaurants, shops, takeaways, bars etc in the immediate vicinity are all brilliant and the lake and park is only a short stroll away. All and all a great holiday was had in Keswick. We will be back.

  • "We loved it."

We've had a wonderful holiday in and around Keswick and Derwentwater. The location was great and the apartment was ideal; it was very clean and prettily designed. The location of the town and of the apartment was great... very near the lake and so much to do. One suggestion is to provide an airer there to dry clothes on. Apart from that all facilities very good. Also There was not very much ventilation considering the weather when we were there was extremely hot. A fan would be a good idea or even another window at the front or some small window that could be open to create a through draft. Also one of the runners on the bathroom door was broken when we got there. Also felt that there could have been more attention to instructions about recycling. We would stay again...especially if these points were sorted out. Sue Smart
