The cottage is very small and compact and whilst it was clean and on the whole comfortable there were a couple of things that the owner needs to attend to. 1. There was a leak under the kitchen sink, which had obviously been there for sometime as there was a damp smell coming from the cupboard under the sink. 2. The bed is very uncomfortable, the mattress sloped to one side and it made sleeping quite difficult. 3. When I was making the bed on the first morning after arrival, I found a dirty sock under the bed.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the beautiful location and clean cottage. Thank you for bringing the leak to our attention. This was fixed by our Maintenance Team as soon as we became aware and this could have been done during your stay if we had been informed. We encourage all guests to let us know of issues as they arise so that they can be immediately rectified and we are disappointed that this didn't happen on this occasion. We are sorry that you found the mattress uncomfortable. It is the first time that this has been mentioned to us and, as we will be staying in the cottage in the next few weeks, we will review the situation and address it accordingly. Our cleaner also apologises profusely for the not seeing the sock under the bed. We hope these issues did not detract from your enjoyment and look forward to being able to welcome you back in the future - Sykes owner relations
