  • "Lovely place, really clean and spacious."

Sofa bed for my daughter wasn’t the comfiest but was ok for a few nights stay. Received 2 different lots of how to check in details which were contradictory, a quick message to reception and all was sorted. Would stay again.

Yes super comfy, only two niggles were we were given half a loo roll and the weird power points meant we couldn’t plug in our chargers anywhere where there was a surface, so we had to leave devices on the floor xx

Hi thanks for your nice comments. I'm sorry about the loo roll and confused as I asked the cleaners to explain and they said that they had left 2 rolls as usual and offered to send me a picture, so I'm not sure what happened there. Anyway, I'm glad you had a nice time. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "We are used to well equipped kitchens in holiday accommodation, this was very basic and more of a hotel room with a kitchenette, also the building had a fire alarm issue which went off at night during our stay, we later found out this was the third time in ten days, reception said it was an ongoing issue they couldn’t sort out, found this concerning."

The general facilities were ok. Won’t be going again.

  • "Confusing arrangements beforehand."

I kept getting incorrect emails which I was told to ignore when I phoned. Not enough dishwasher tablets and not enough toilet roll.

  • "Beautiful setting and lovely holiday village with great and friendly staff."

Unfortunately the apartment wasn’t cleaned properly and had few things broken when we arrived. Fridge could not shut and we needed to put a suitcase against it to keep our food fresh.

As an update, a new fridge was installed 27th June. Hello thanks for your feedback. The seal on the fridge door has now been fixed. When you arrived you were not happy that the sofa bed had not been made up and spoke to the reception who contacted us and the cleaning company we use. They pointed out that it is usual for the bedding to be in the wardrobe for you to make the bed up yourself as you may want to sit on the sofa when you arrive. You were not happy about this so we paid for our cleaners to go out and speak to you and make up the sofa bed. The apartment has always been very clean so I'm sorry to hear that you said it wasn't clean. I believe that you thought the underside of the sofa had some dirt there and the cleaner sorted this out. Hopefully the rest of the apartment was as spotless as it always should be! I hope you were able to have an enjoyable stay. Property Owner

Nearby, the popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, some good parks, the Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema and the beautiful lake. Penruddock provides easy access to the spectacular surrounding Cumbrian countryside which can be explored by both car and on foot, and with the southern Lakes, Eden Valley, Solway Coast and Hadrian's Wall all within easy motoring distance this great location has plenty to see and do for all the family.
