    It was very clean and well equipped with little extras, like hand soap, shower gel and body lotion (which smelt divine). The welcome biscuits were a great touch along with coffee, tea and milk. It was also lovely to meet Michaela :)

    The owners Michaela & Gary go the extra mile with goodies including biscuits, tea, coffee and milk ready for your arrival. Even hand wash, toilet rolls, tea towels, washing up liquid and dish clothes are included. We hope to return one day soon.

    The cleanliness of the place was immaculate. The bed was comfortable, and the flat was nice and warm. Having the river Leven next to us was great we saw Herons, Dipper, Pies wagtails, Yellow wagtails, tree creepers. All in all a brilliant place to stay we will be back. Thank you Michaela and Gary

  • "The apartment requires the instructions for the operation of the bathroom fan and heating to be made more readily available and easy to understand."

    Most other systems operation are self explanatory. The entry door to the apartment block could be confusing to individuals who are not adaptable or understanding. A net curtain at the front bedroom would be beneficial for privacy. Hope this helps, but as you can see we were very happy with the accommodation

  • "Very well kept apartment."

    Negatives? The email detailing how to enter was not really accurate. "PLEASE NOTE...... That due to the Government plan for easing covid-19 restrictions. The communal door is now not in use. There are two private entrances to Leven Reach situated at the front and rear of the property." The communal door is actually in use and needed to be used as we are only given that key. Also the fob only works while pulling the door first. The combination of the meant it took a while to gain access but once in , wow , such a nice apartment. Everything was clean and new . We would definitely come back for any South Lakes trip we do .

  • "The apartment is superb - can't wait to return."

    The quality of everything is top notch. Only downside was that the local restaurant and bar (part of the hotel as you approach the apartment) was only open to residents because of Covid so everything was a car journey away. However, that would not stop us returning - the place was immaculate. There was even a nice table and chairs outside so you could sit with your drink and listen/watch the river go by - perfect.

The property

Located within the Lake District National Park inside a brand-new 2020 luxury apartment development, this property is set on the bank of the River Leven and forms the perfect base for a romantic break or weekend away, ideally placed to explore the Southern Lakes and Furness Peninsula.

Enter the property and arrive into the entrance hallway.

Off the hall is the well-appointed double bedroom, with bedside tables, built-in wardrobe, & vanity table, there are views across to the Ironworks monument, steam railway and wooded hillside.

Directly opposite the hall is the stylish bathroom housing a large walk in shower, WC & large sink with over sink vanity mirror and large heated towel rail.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with floor-to-ceiling windows, here you will find contemporary furnishing’s including double sofa and single chair, Smart TV, coffee table, side table and additional lighting.

The modern kitchen incorporates Corian style work tops and local slate splash backs, there are Bosch appliances throughout including induction hob, electric fan oven built in washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, nespresso coffee maker also provided.

The dining table for two has modern comfortable chairs and allows views out of the apartment towards the adjacent river Leven.

Lastly head out of the lounge patio door and sit and relax in your outdoor patio area with a glass of wine to enjoy the stunning river views at any time of day, there is private parking for one car.

Please note this apartment can be booked with its sister apartment on the first floor (Leven View property reference 1050394) should a party of four wish to stay.

The apartment is just a walk away from local attractions including the historic Haverthwaite steam railway that runs (in season) from Haverthwaite to Lakeside on Windermere for onward lake cruises to Bowness and Ambleside, also, within walking distance are the Lakeland Motor Museum, Café Ambio, Cliffhanger Escape Rooms and the Whitewater Hotel with its Spa and Leisure Club (day passes available) plus bar and bistro restaurant overlooking the river, nearby outdoor activities include horse-riding at Bigland Hall, Cartmel races through the year, Holker Estate and gardens, cycle trails and Go Ape experiences in Grizedale forest, fell walks, and water sports opportunities on Windermere or Coniston Water.

Explore the popular National Trust owned Fell Foot park or take a hike through Hay Bridge nature reserve, before heading north to the hustle and bustle of Bowness on Windermere for shopping and attractions.

For eating out, this area offers a great selection of dining options, from Michelin star restaurants to gastro pubs and casual cafes.

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.
