  • "Nice cosy apartment in an ideal location, close to shops, restaurants and lake windermere."

Only problem I had was the double bed, was hard, felt like sleeping on the floor. It needs a mattress topper to make it comfier. Otherwise everything else was great.

Hi, thank you for staying at Eves Attic. Your review is very much appreciated. I will get a mattress topper. So pleased you enjoyed your stay at my Apartment. Thank you Property Owner

  • "The information regarding travelling to the property needs to be updated."

Currently states at the right hand side of the cash machine - there isn't one anywhere near. With regard to the parking it would have been helpful if it was indicated that you park in the area where there is a barrier and also Cumbria Spas no longer has a property in the building. We arrived just after 4pm to find the place had not been cleaned nor beds changed since the last occupants had been in. I did ring the number supplied and they did get a cleaner out within the hour. The information regarding the immersion heater being in the kitchen may be helpful to say needs switching on in the bathroom cupboard too. Having said all of the above I would have normally given the place a 5 star review as it is in a great place. It was a very comfortable property and once cleaned had everything needed for a great stay. We will go back in the future.

Thank you for staying at Eve’s Attic. I have changed the directions to it and thank you for mentioning it. I have spoken about the housekeeping and I hope it won’t happen again. Thank you again, I hope to see you next year. Cheers Property Owner

  • "Would happily stay here again."

A few minor adjustments would have taken our overall 4 stars to a 5 . *We had to hang a small towel from the bathroom window when using the shower as no privacy glass or blind !Although on second floor you can see in from the road especially with the light on ( we checked!) *No security lock or chain on inside of the front door which made us a little uneasy especially knowing how many people have had access to the keys . *Fridge needed defrosting , thick ice around the icebox which wouldn’t shut properly as a large bag of ice cubes jammed in there. This didn’t affect us unduly as didn’t need to use ice box. The flat was very clean, bed linen and towels very good quality . Welcome cleaning pack very handy containing tea towels/dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid and sponges. Very well equipped with hairdryer/ lots of hangers and extra in storage cupboard. Although we didn’t use it there is an ironing board/iron/clothes horse if required. A small selection of books in the hall bookcase and several very informative books on the lakes in the drawer under the tv. Free Wi-Fi is also available. The car park is a big bonus and you can keep an eye on your car from the lounge window which also boasts a view of the lake . We only used the heating a couple of times late evening but the radiators warmed up very quickly and have thermostats on each . Excellent location right in the heart of Bowness with everything on the doorstep. We absolutely loved the new little cafe Sweet Dreams on the ground floor of the same complex ( This place was responsible for our clothes shrinking!) The cakes and bread are all home made by the owners and are delicious! Highly recommend Evie’s attic.

Thank you so much for the feedback, it’s very much appreciated and all items will be actioned. I hope to see you next year. Thank you for choosing Eve’s attic Property Owner
