“My friends and I had a most enjoyable stay at this cottage.”

The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and we were delighted to have been treated to Kendal mInt cake and some locally home made fudge. Unfortunately we had two complaints. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and we were delighted to have been treated to Kendal mInt cake and some locally home made fudge. Unfortunately we had two complaints. The modern hive heating system failed to work. On the Sunday I tried phoning the office and mobile number to no avail. I then sent a text message to the mobile number and eventually we were contacted. We were told to wait half an hour for it to work but it didn't so I rang again and told to wait another half an hour but still no joy. However, we discovered the following morning on our departure, from Martin, that the boiler needed rebooting! We would not have been able to reboot the boiler as a key was required! The other complaint was the smell coming from the two upstairs bathrooms. We think the cesspit was beside our cottage. Also, you may wish to update your cottage description. All three double bedrooms converted into twin rooms but when the booking was made the description stated that only two doubles converted to twins. A friend who could have stayed ended up booking a local B and B for two nights. Although we had these issues we did have an enjoyable stay and the hot tub helped keep us warm! Would recommend to family and friends.
