• "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3 Tower View - first the pros - the property was a good size and comfortable with plenty of sitting spaces in the lounge area and good size kitchen with all the amenities and tools available which were all clean."

  The bedrooms were adequate sizes with plenty of storage space, beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding. Cons - Stairs were a bit steep and care must be taken when going down them, but it’s one of the original features of the property which adds character therefore understand to keep it that way, just be a bit mindful if you have small children. The only thing that caused a bit of stress was the parking - there is one space for a car as advertised, however, it is right next to a busy road and not clearly signed to say that was the parking space. On the day of arrival, there was a council signage on it advising drivers of road closure, we had to move the sign after clarifying that that was the car park space.

• "First day we arrived our little dog's escaped under the gate and ran across a busy main road, Please note this garden is not secure for small dog's."

  .. when we entered the living room we found slug trails from the kitchen through into the living room and up the velvet sofa, Night time we had to pick slugs up from the living room carpet So they must be getting in somewhere, I reported this the same day but nothing was done, Our dog's could have been killed. The cottage was very dirty including badly stained living room carpet,The path towards the washing line was so badly over grown I couldn't see the steps so thought and assumed it was a flat path, I fell and broke my ankle. We had to leave early so I could return home for a X-Ray so removed all the bedding ready for the cleaner and the pillows and duvet were badly stained.

• "Well equipped and spacious cottage."

  Good central heating which was a relief as outside temperature was 3-5 degrees all week! Only minor negative is the amount traffic noise in one of the bedroom due to the proximity of the road

• "Lovely cosy cottage and well equipped kitchen."

  Beds are very comfy. We had two dogs with us and it was a nice touch with the dog bowls and handy to have a dog bed too. The garden is also enclosed which made things a lot easier for the dogs. Pub across the road very friendly. I would maybe suggest providing bigger towels and also maybe a high chair/travel cot that can be stored away easily as had to bring ours with us but obviously not a deal breaker and understand not everywhere is equipped for young children. Thank you for a lovely stay

• "I had a partial refund for this booking due to the shower not working in the property."

  Looking at the feedback other people had left in the cottage, the shower issue and the fact the bath plug was faulty had been mentioned before and not been actioned so it was annoying to say the least. In addition the garden was unkempt , the grass hadn’t been cut and as a result we didn’t sit out in the garden which was a shame. As part of a welcome pack they include dishwater tablets but there is no dishwasher ?! This has also been mentioned previously. The front door lock/ key is really stiff to open and therefore could be a risk if there was a fire. This has also I believe been mentioned before. The cottage is lovely but it is these things that let it down.

• "Lovely location to use as a base to explore the south Lakes."

  Would definitely stay there again, had enough space to move around in. The property has an enclosed garden which was great for the dogs. The only gripe was that some areas of the garden needed cutting back/tidying up. Bug would definitely recommend to others to stay. The Pub directly opposite didn't create any extra noise and the food was great.

• "The cottage was lovely and comfortable."

  Great location for visiting family. The garden very secure, which was a comfort for us as we have two spaniels. We ate outside a couple of times as the weather was dry. Pub opposite was good, friendly and food good. Would be worth clarifying where second parking is- we didn’t need it as just the one car but that may not be the case as the cottage sleeps 5.

  We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you. Supply washing up liquid please, not dishwasher tablets (when there is no dishwasher?!). Also there is no information provided regarding recycling- I’m sure most people are keen to do their bit

• "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3 Tower view."

  The cottage was well equipped, warm and comfortable. We slept so well due to the very comfortable beds. The only issue we had was that the back door is very stiff to open and lock closed, in fact I think we couldn't manage to lock it at the end of the stay, which was a worry. Apart from this we loved the place, and having the friendly pub opposite was a real bonus. Thankyou.

• "Beautifully presented cosy cottage, comfortably furnished."

  In a great location, with the village pub just opposite and close to Grange and Cartmel. So many beautiful places in easy reach; we really enjoyed Blackwell the arts and crafts house. We would love to come back.
