  • "We've had a fantastic stay at rooftops, what a beautiful property to base yourself at in the Lakes!"

Everything inside had such an attention to detail and a quality, the owners have done a fantastic job of making the place feel fresh, comfortable and relaxing. We had more than enough space with 2 and a dog, plus the views ans the bathtub were a big hit (especially after a morning up Old Man!). The parking spot was an added bonus as I was initially hesitant of having to find parking in busy coniston. The stairs didnt bother us, as worth it for the views and proximity to pubs and food! Thanks for a fab break, would highly recommend this property!

  • "We had a wonderful week at the rooftops a very lush apartment had everything you need, a home from home and we loved the welcome box of goodies."

We didn’t arrive until 10pm on the Friday night, after 5 hour drive due to delays on the M6, we were hungry but missed the chippy below us as they closed at 8.30, we made do with a yummy pizza

  • "Absolutely great, comfortable, great kitchen, decor spot on, in a great position."

Only reason I didn't give comfort full marks was that we were there during the hottest week of the year and being at the top of the building it was very warm. Having all the windows open helped a little bit but then the noise of farm traffic or people late at night could disturb you when trying to sleep. A fan for each bedroom would have helped lots. Totally unusual weather and it wouldn't stop me booking again but fans would have been good.

Apartment is fully equipped and extremely comfortable. Only gripe was the heating that we couldn't shut off, but better to be warm than cold.

  • "This accommodation was absolutely fantastic!"

The decor and cleanliness were first class when compared to other properties we have stayed at. The only thing that was missing for us was a washing machine but that is a minor point. All in all a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the local area.

I would recommended this place and I would definitely stay again. The kitchen was so well equipped and had everything you would need. The sofas and beds were very comfy which I always think is a priority when staying somewhere. The whole apartment was lovely and I hope to return in the future. Thank you!

  • "Great apartment, spotless, well equipped and good location."

Parking can be an issue, I had to park from the apartment at first (not far) and later managed a space closer. Plenty of choice for eating out and can recommend the Black Bull, all staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother.

Felt extremely satisfied with all of the amenities provided, parking wasn’t an issue at all. Everything is modern and SPOTLESS even with the current pandemic I felt very safe and like it was taken very seriously. Have already recommended to friends and will be returning as soon as possible.

  • "Genuinely can't remember if the site listing makes clear the number of stairs climbed to get to the flat - not a problem for us but might be worth stressing."

We phoned to enquire if there was parking available, which there isn't. At this time of year it was easy to park on the street but it might be helpful to make this information clear on the property description. The Bluebird cafe/restaurant at the end of Lakeside road is a very lovely place to retreat and there are plenty of good places to eat in Coniston. The flat and the wider setting are lovely.

The apartment was fabulous, so spacious yet cosy, very clean and every attention to detail spot on. The views from this second floor apartment were amazing. Close to all eating out places, did not use the car as lovely walks straight from the doorstep. Have ready recommended to family and friends, and would definitely return.
