  • "A lovely lodge located within beautiful quiet surroundings."

A wonderful welcome basket of essentials were a perfect gift. The lodge is fully equipped and spotless. We would highly recommend a stay here as not far from Blackpool, Lytham St Anne's and Lancaster. Sunday lunch at Greaves Park was amazing and dog friendly.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at the lodge and would love to see you back again one day Property Owner

  • "A couple of minor issues, but nothing urgent."

The ground conditions were very wet and muddy, and we realised an outside hose pipe to help clean the dogs off would be a great addition to the lodge.

Thanks for your feedback and we have added mattress toppers to the single beds to improve their comfort. Installing an outside tap and hosepipe would be difficult without the site owners permission. Property Owner

  • "Loved our stay at Lodge 16."

The lodge was really clean and well equipped. The welcome basket was such a nice touch, delicious and very much appreciated. Steve and Gill were so helpful and accommodating when our ferry was cancelled. We cannot thank them enough This is a great lodge for a holiday. We were leaving our son to Lancaster University and stayed a few days. Would 100% recommend if you are looking a holiday or even a short stay for uni drop or pickup. Thank you so much Helen, Steven & Luke weatherald

Thanks Helen for a lovely review. We had not thought about the lodge being used by people visiting Lancaster University before so thank you for the tip as its only 10 minutes away by road. Property Owner

About the location

Garstang 3.6 miles; Lancaster 8.5 miles; Morecambe 15 miles.

Scorton is a village in Nether Wyresdale, on the very edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Although it was originally developed around the cotton mill and railway in the 19th Century, today it is most popular with walkers and cyclists seeking refreshment in one of its licensed restaurants. The village also hosts regular Food & Gift Fairs, where you can browse a delightful selection of stalls selling cheese, preserves, jewellery and crafts, to name but a few. Nicky Nook, its best known landmark, sits at the back of the village and, as it is only a short distance from the A6, the village is a wonderful starting point for exploring Lancashire. There are fishing opportunities nearby on the River Wyre, Wyreside Lake and Cleveley Mere. A few miles up the road is Garstang, famous for declaring itself as the world’s first Fairtrade town and well-loved for its delicious local produce and regular street markets. There is so much to keep you occupied in this area; the beautiful Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve, a day at Morecambe Bay or Blackpool, along with the popular towns of Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale and even Kendal and Windermere, easily reached in the car. With beautiful surroundings and an abundance of natural attractions, it is great for families, couples and friends.
