  • "It was really wet, so would suggest a matt inside the door."

The decking is also super slippy when wet. Lighting outside could definitely be better, not just on the lodge we were in, but the caravan park in general.

  • "The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay."

The area we stayed in was great for visiting local attractions. Would recommend and love to stay again..

  • "The perfect escape for a long weekend."

We arrived to find the lodge in spotless condition throughout. We couldn't fault the lodge at all, easily accessible to the lake & other parts of the park, kids loved every minute of being here. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Lovely Lodge."

Enjoyed our short stay. Would have struggled to stay longer as we found the beds particularly uncomfortable. Think they’re due new mattress’s. The Lodge outside is probably due for a painting as first impressions weren’t great. Starting to look a little shabby but inside is pleasant.

  • "A few issues with this property: - no instructions for wi-fi setup (a common complaint in the guest log going back three years and never addressed) - one of the duvets in the twin room was dirty - there was a smell of dampness in the en-suite bathroom - the heating was switched off; I had to search online for a manual as non was supplied - a measly two teabags and two sachets of coffee was the 'welcome' gift; they may as well not have bothered - the master lock which held the key got stuck on our return from a day out and took a while to sort out; reception was not interested in helping as this was a private rental."

Overall the experience wasn't bad but I paid £200 a night for this property and expect more value from this.

  • "The lodge was really lovely and had everything we needed for a couple of days stay."

There are one or two improvements I would suggest the owners really consider which have been mentioned numerous times in the guest book. Wifi password not provided. This is a must nowadays for booking activities, rainy days etc. and some people may still need to work while away. Doormats - with the weather so unpredictable I think somewhere to wipe feet is essential. We used kitchen roll in the absence of a mat. Other than these two things I can fault the lodge. We will recommend to friends.
