3 Customer Reviews

  • "The accommodation was well equipped and internally in great condition."

The location wasn't as good as expected, right next to the play area and the decking and hot tub was overlooked by anyone sat outside the bar / entertainment centre so not a lot of privacy. Internally, a radiator in the main room wasn't working even though turned on, the toilet roll holder in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, the shower head bracket was loose so wouldn't stay up, luckily i had a screwdriver and tightened it up, didn't help much as water pressure very poor in bathroom. Outside, the decking looked tired, worn and dirty, it is also sinking as you walk to the hot tub between both deckings causing a trip hazard. The outside socket is cracked and dangerous, needs replacing straight away, The hot tub was lovely, just the odd nozzle kept coming out, but the area around it looked a mess with bits of pipe and other bits just left laying around.

Thank you for your review. The location is usually something people are happy with as it’s only a short walk to the bar, restaurant or playground but we understand this isn’t for everyone. Regarding the hot tub, we’ve used it ourselves regularly and it’s placed at the rear of the decking so unless people have exceptional eyesight, they won’t even notice you’re in the hot tub. It can’t be screened for health and safety purposes. We had the decking, toilet roll holder and sockets repaired immediately before the next guest arrived as this hadn’t previously been reported. Unfortunately the decking can’t be painted until the weather is better, as it needs to be dry or the paint comes off which has created the current worn look as it was painted this time last year. The cleaning team have reported no issue with the shower and they use the shower head to clean it at every changeover. The bits of pipe mentioned are to enable guests to fill the hot tub to the level they prefer, the only other items on the decking are sweeping brushes to enable guests to sweep the decking if they wish to do so as, being in amongst trees, debris does occasionally blow onto the decking. Thank you again for your feedback as it enables us to keep the lodge at the highest standard possible, although as with any guest, you have our number so are free to contact us with any observations, as we only live an hour away so can visit personally to rectify any issues. • "We had a great time and the lodge is beautiful inside & very clean our only issue was that the TV didn’t work at night as the connection dropped out quite a bit which in winter is a bit of an issue but thankfully we had our IPad."

One thing I would recommend is a light on the outside for the hot tub but on the whole a thoroughly good experience.
