  • "When we arrived at the lodge everything looked nice clean but the dishwasher was full of previous family pots smart tvs would only work on terrestrial tv no netflix or prime or I player the hot tub was great but overall the lodge was good clean comfortable shower a bit small but otherwise it was good driveway a bit dangerous if your not experienced driver parkdean not helpful at all ."

Apologies about the dishwasher—everything had to be freshly cleaned after the previous stay, and with the short turnaround it meant the cycle was still finishing when you arrived. The Wi-Fi is Parkdean’s rather than the lodge’s, so it can be hit and miss—hopefully it encouraged a bit more time outdoors! The driveway should usually fit two cars, though we’ll keep an eye on feedback there. We’re glad you enjoyed the hot tub and found the lodge clean and comfortable, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back again. Property Owner

  • "An Amazing Lodge in a Superb Location, The Lodge was very homely, spotlessly clean, kitchen was fully equipped everything that you would need for a stay away."

    Lodge was in a secluded part of the park surrounded by nature, it was lovely to sit on the balcony. We fed the birds what a list came to feed (even the Woodpecker and a Deer came to visit) & rabbits. Even we got to hear the Owl hooting away. The hot tub was fabulous to sit & relax. Just a suggestion for next year a wooden gazebo over the hot tub to protect from the overhanging tree. A wonderful stay didn’t want to leave, would highly recommend.

  • "Esk Pike 9 - Best lodge we have stayed in, for the peace and tranquility, lovely woodland setting."

    Lodge lovely and clean and modern, beds comfortable. The only problem was when showering, the water was very slow to drain away we had to wait 15 mins before the next person could use it. We would go back and we will recommend to our friends.

  • "WiFi didn’t work at all which was frustrating."

    There could have been more towels, for example there was no towel in the bathroom. There were only two dishwasher tablets for a 3 night stay etc. There was some medication left in the bedroom from a previous occupant. But it was lovely and clean, well equipped kitchen, and beds very comfy. Location was great, and felt very secluded being surrounded by trees.

We’re really sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay—particularly the missing towels, which should have been provided, and the medication left behind. That’s certainly not the standard we aim for. Regarding the dishwasher tablets, we include a small number as part of a complimentary welcome pack to help get guests started—though we completely understand if this wasn’t clear at the time. As for the WiFi, we totally understand the frustration. Just to explain, the WiFi is provided by the park itself rather than the lodge, so unfortunately it’s not something we have direct control over—but we know how important it is, and we’re continuing to raise this with them. That said, we’re really glad you found the lodge clean, well-equipped, with comfy beds and a peaceful, secluded setting.   • "Great lodge in such a lovely location on the park."

    The lodge was immaculate on arrival. When you are in the hot tub you feel as if you are in the middle of a secluded forest surrounded by nature. Daily visits from a woodpecker, rabbit and ducks plus you could sometimes here an owl hooting away on an evening. For anyone looking for a relaxing getaway this is the perfect setting.

  • "What a lovely cabin, refurbished to a great standard, beds very comfortable."

    Kitchen is well equipped, iron included, but there is no hairdryer. The hot-tub is great after a day walking to rest those legs. Lovely to sit out in the sun as well to have a coffee on the decking, or on the swing. It was a lovely feel looking out to the trees and watching the birds.. We fed the birds and what a list came to feed, highlight being a great spotted woodpecker. Apart from the birds there was no noise. The TV was digital so we often just watched a film on the evenings. The property

Esk Pike is a delightful, single-storey lodge situated near Lake Windermere in Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria.

This property boasts a hot tub, open-plan living, and three Smart TVs.

With designated, off-road parking for two cars, Esk Pike is idyllic for a family on their Cumbria getaway.

The open-plan living space welcomes you in after a successful day of adventure.

Put your well-trekked feet up in the sitting area with a film on the Smart TV as a delicious dinner cooks from an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge.

Dig in at an intimate dining table for four or dine alfresco on the decking furniture, then take advantage of the dishwasher.

Sink into the hot tub or sway in the outdoor swing seat as you watch the sun melt into the trees.

Rinse off the day in a shower room, then invite the night in a king-size or twin bed as a Smart TV narrates your bedtime story.

White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Consisting of many lodges, it offers a restaurant, pub, shop, entertainment room, amusement arcade, indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, children's staffed activity centre, marina and outdoor play areas. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. Children will also enjoy The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, where technology brings her characters to life, and Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its Treetop Trek aerial adventure is a short walk away from the site. For thousands upon thousands of golfers Turnberry is simply one of the finest golf destinations in the world with nearby Kintyre, Prestwick and Royal Troon outstanding of the many courses in this golfing Mecca. The whole area is steeped in history, with historical monuments and castle ruins dotted along the coastline. Visitors can enjoy boat trips from Girvan harbour to the famous Ailsa Craig to see the gannets, enjoy spot of sea fishing or discover the floral gardens of Girvan. Touring opportunities abound with the Carrick Forest, pretty south Ayrshire villages such as Barr, Straiton and Barhill all within easy reach and Culzean Castle and Country Park is a must see of the many interesting features of the ‘Smuggler Coastline’.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.

Hot Tubs

For the comfort of other holidays guests we request that noise is kept to a minimum. Usage of the hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only. If you are found to breach these timings then you may be asked to vacate the park with no call for a refund.

All hot tubs are maintained to strict industry standards and HSE guidelines by separate qualified independent contractors on behalf of the property owners. This includes changing the water between guest stays and checking the water condition on a regular basis.

Whilst every effort is made to have a hot tub ready for immediate use by the arrival time stated, this may not always be possible. In such cases the hot tub will usually be ready to use later that day unless otherwise advised. In such cases no compensation or refund is payable unless the hot tub is faulty.

Information about using a hot tub safely is provided at all lodges with a hot tub and on a prominent notice near the tub. All hot tub users should wear an appropriate bathing suit. Usage of a hot tub is at a guests own risk and Lake District Lodge Holidays accepts no liability for anything which may happen to a guest as a direct result of using a hot tub.
