    The view of lake windermere from our lodge was stunning. The lodge was exactly as listed. Very clean, modern and spacious. White cross bay holiday park was great. Close to lot's of tourist attractions. Clean site. Plenty of places to walk the dog. Definitely home from home. Easy check in with key code.

    Bus stop just outside the entrance to the park was really handy for getting around. Car didn’t move! Hopefully will return!

  • "The owners were incredibly responsive to our needs as they arose."

    The property was clean, well equipped and had a beautiful view of the lake from the outside decking, and for a full view you didn’t need to go far. There is a large fridge and freezer and cooking appliances provided, along with comfortable family seating and cushions for the outside space.

  • "Lovely clean property, with everything in (although could not find a tin opener) and the owner maintained contact when needed."

    The small bed was not very comfy for an adult. It's a shame there was no WiFi all week (although this was an issue with the camp site) We were not clear about recycling and feel there should be more effort in this current climate of separating glass etc at each individual lodge.

  • "Lodge was really lovely and clean and modern."

    Some issues on site of white cross bay with electric going off for over 15 hours no communication we had to seek out reception but it was closed and a member of staff told us. Then the internet went off for 3 days and still off when we left still no communication from White Cross Bay. The lodge itself could not be faulted.

I gather that the power outage was widespread and went beyond Whitecross Bay into parts of Windermere too.   • "Windermere View is a beautiful, well-equipped and homely lodge."

    There was ample space for our family of three to enjoy time together, or to have our own space. The decor is modern and tasteful and the kitchen is well-equipped. Nice touches like DVDs and board games were very welcome during inclement weather and on evenings. The lodge is an ideally located base to explore the area and the owners have thoughtfully provided lots of tourist information for their guests. Over a three-day period (we stayed for four days but rain stopped play on one day), we visited Beatrix Potter World, Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, Lakeland Motor Museum and the Lakes Aquarium. We also enjoyed walks around Bowness and Windermere. We were aware that wi-fi was patchy here, but this isn't an issue really (unless you're an internet-dependent teenager or have to work) - after all, you're on holiday and it's good to switch off! I did have to work on the rainy day, but I used my hotspot, so no real issue. In short, this is a perfect place to stay and we will definitely be returning! Even our very fussy 20-year-old daughter gave it a big thumbs up, so it must be great!

  • "This property was absolutely perfect for our family and our pet, great location, and it had everything we needed to make it a home from home stay."

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
